Gloria “Dolores” Spoonhoward Shaw, of Richboro, died peacefully on Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Holy Redeemer Hospital Hospice. She was 86.

She was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late William Raymond Shaw. Born in Herminie, PA., she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Gertrude Rizzi Spoonhoward.

Dolores, as she was known by family and friends, was a resident of Richboro for the past 60 years. A woman of many talents, Dolores volunteered at Holy Redeemer Hospital and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Company. She was an active and faithful member of the Addisville Reformed Church in Richboro and a member of the Neshaminy Chapter NO. 374 Order of the Eastern Star for many years.

Dolores was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling and was a terrific card player who looked forward to card games with family and friends. A caring mother and doting grandmother who knew that family always came first, she will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love her.

She is survived by her devoted and caring daughters; Kathy R. Rook and her husband Bill of Ivyland and Barbara Lynn Severs and her husband Les of Richboro, she was the dear grandmother to Kimberly D. Capaldi ( Richard), Sheri Lynn Omlor (Brian), Tammy M. Carbone (Kevin) , and great grandmother to Kyle, Dylan, Connor and Owen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings Thursday evening April 12, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and on Friday at the Addisville Reformed 945 Second St. Pike Richboro from 10:00am until her Funeral Service 11:00am.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.

In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Addisville Reformed Church Memorial Fund at the above address.
