Fred W. Diekman of Southampton, PA died peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at his residence. He was 55.
He was the beloved son of Henry G. and Nancy M. Thomsen Diekman.
Fred was a resident of Southampton for all of his life. He was a graduate of William Tennant High School, Class of 1974, where he was a member of the football team. He then attended Spring Garden Institute of Technology where he studied mechanics. In 1978, Fred suffered a sever head injury as the result of an automobile accident. For the past 33 years, all of his life needs were met by his devoted parents who were his main caregivers. In addition, many relatives and friends supported Fred throughout the years.
He was a sports fan who enjoyed watching baseball, football and wrestling on television. Fred loved children and would always greet them with a smile. He will be sadly missed as a loving son, brother, uncle and great uncle.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his two brothers, Henry E. Diekman and his wife, Hilda, of Warminster, PA and Karl F. Diekman and his wife, Christine, of Nesquehoning, PA. He is also survived by his three nieces, Caroline Diekman, Brandy Hackash, Karla Diekman, his nephew, Karl Diekman and two great nieces, Chloe and Jessica. He was predeceased by his two nieces, Kelly Marie Diekman and Jessica Diekman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, May 4, 2012, from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Service 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954.
Interment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Davisville Church, 325 W. Street Road, Southampton, PA 18966 or Calvary Chapel, 13500 Philmont Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
