   Robert “Bob” Franklin Matlack

Robert “Bob” Franklin Matlack of Feasterville died Monday, April 30, 2012 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown. He was 90.

Bob was the beloved husband of fifty four years to the late Josephine Borucki Matlack who predeceased him in death in 2002.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harry and Clara Zimmerman Matlack and was the brother of the late Harry V. Matlack, Ida Brody and Katherine Matlack.

Bob was a decorated Veteran of WWII, served as a light Machine Gunner with the 513th Paratroop Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division. Wounded at the Battle of the Bulge he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He had worked as a Piping Designer most of his career and retired from Rohm & Haas Company in 1988. Bob enjoyed his family and all sports, and was part of the Wissinoming Boys Club Pop Warner Football Conference Champions in 1947.

Bob is survived by his children, Robert F. Matlack, Jr and his wife Karen, of Richboro and his daughter JoAnne M. Robinson and her husband George of Merchantville, NJ. He is also survived by his two Granddaughters, Alyssa M. Fell (Matthew) and Caitlin E. Matlack.

Private service and interment will be held by the family at Union Cemetery in Richboro.

The family will accept any memorial donations to Advent Lutheran Church, Second Street Pike, PO Box 840, Richboro, PA 18954-0840.
