Domenick E. Piccinini of Richboro died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 after an eight year courageous battle with cancer.
Domenick was the beloved husband of 54 years to Joyce Conroy Piccinini.
Born in Little Falls, New York, he was the son of the late Domenick and Christine Discenza Piccinini of Little Falls, NY and sister of the late Gloria Irving of Syracuse, NY.
Domenick enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking family dinners, golfing, playing piano, gardening, and many years coaching girls’ travel softball in Northampton. He honorably served in the United States Air Force as a radio operator, stationed in Japan and Korea from 1952 to 1956, where he was also an accomplished trumpeter and soloist. After his military service, Domenick worked for RCA as an electronics technician stationed in Iceland. He obtained a B.S. in Industrial Management from Syracuse University and Utica College. He worked in Windsor Locks, CT as an Industrial Engineer at United Technologies’ Hamilton Standard Division and transferred to Pennsylvania in 1967. In 1972, he became the Director of Manufacturing and Materials for Decision Data prior to returning to United Technologies in 1981 where he served as the Plant Manager at Teledynamics in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. He retired in 1993.
In addition to his wife Joyce, Domenick is survived by his four sons: Michael of Warrington, Marc and his wife Robin of Warrington, Marten and his wife Caroline of Apopka, FL and Marshall and his wife Carrie of Edinboro, PA and his daughter Marissa Brown and her husband David of Fountainville. Domenick is also survived by his 10 cherished grandchildren: Kristi, Brendan, Courtney, Kevin, Jon, Isabella, Alena, Emma, Paige and D.J. and his sister, Louise Biamonte and her husband Frank of Rome, NY, and his brother Donald and his wife Shirley of Little Falls, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, May 6 from 1:00pm until his Funeral Service 3:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.), Richboro 18954.
Private interment with Military Honors will be held at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
