Alexander S. “Scotty” Caldwell, Jr. of Warminster died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Abington Hospice of Warminster surrounded by his loving family. He was 80.

Alexander was the beloved husband of Barbara A. Edwards Caldwell for 58 years.

Born in Parkland, PA, he was the son of the late Alexander S., Sr. and Sarah Dougall Caldwell, and the brother of the late Stafford D. Caldwell, the late Kenneth W. Caldwell and the late Davis A. Caldwell.

Scotty was a lifelong resident of Bucks County currently residing in Warminster. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. Scotty was an Engineer with Bell Telephone in various areas for 36 years until his retirement in 1985 and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was the Judge of Elections for over 5 years in Warminster Township. Scotty was recently recognized as a 50 year Mason and was a member of the Newtown Lodge #427 F. and A.M. in Newtown.

In his leisure, Scotty enjoyed spending time at the Pocono’s and was a member of the Newfoundland Men’s Horseshoe League. He was a hiker and backpacker and was a member of the Appalachian Trail Club. He also enjoyed hunting and was a member of a private hunt club. Scotty often rode his Harley Davidson and was a member of the Harley Owners Group. Scotty was a Prostate Cancer Survivor and was an annual participant in the Prostate and Breast Health Awareness Run held every Father’s Day.

In addition to his beloved wife Barbara, Alexander is survived by his children, Deborah R. Edwards and her husband Warren of Southampton, Mark D. Caldwell and his wife Diane of Warrington and Cheryl A. Caldwell of Melbourne, FL. He is also survived by his brother Jack C. Caldwell of Bensalem and his 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and by all who came to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, May 9 from 4:00pm until his Funeral Service 6:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be private.
