Mary Frances Meszaros of Doylestown, PA died peacefully on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at Wesley Enhanced Living of Doylestown. She was 91.
Mary was the beloved wife of 71 years to Frank Meszaros.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Kate Rush Kilkenny.
Mary was a former resident of Elkins Park before moving to Chalfont in 1989. She was a “sharp merchandiser” who was the former owner of Charm Hosiery Inc. in Philadelphia. Eventually, Mary pursued a successful career as a Commercial Buyer with Wanamaker’s in Philadelphia and Allen’s of Germantown. In later years, she continued her career as a state service job counselor with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mary was a communicant of St. Jude Church in Chalfont and in her leisure time, she was an avid gardener and truly had a green thumb growing her vegetables and flowers. In her earlier years, she was an accomplished ball room dancer and also would enjoy listening to big band music. Mary will be deeply missed by her family and by all who came to know her.
In addition to her beloved husband Frank, Mary is survived by her loving daughters; MaryBeth Meszaros and her husband David and Marjorie M. Szakacs and her husband Steve. She is also survived by her sister Annabelle Kilkenny McKeever of Boca Raton, FL and her 4 precious grandchildren, Brian, Anthony, Marty and Danny.
Mary’s family will receive friends on Saturday, May 27th from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00am in St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown.

Robert J. Puntel of Southampton passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at his home with his loving wife and family by his side. He was 88. Robert was the loving husband of Marianne C. Kontuly Puntel.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, David Puntel and his wife, Susanne and Cristine Gillespie and her husband, Craig. He also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren, Maxwell, Miles, and Mathilda. Robert was preceded in death by 4 siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. Richard G. Haupert of Holland died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Twining Village Health Care in Holland. He was 77.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frederick and Blanche Eskuchen Haupert and the brother of the late Paul C. Haupert.
Richard was raised in Mayfair section of Philadelphia and eventually moved to Academia, Pennsylvania. He had graduated from Lincoln High School and had enlisted in the Navy. Richard served our country for four years and enjoying serving throughout the world. He was very devoted to the Presbyterian Church in Academia and fostered many friendships throughout his life time.
Richard is survived by his sister-in-law Nancy S. Haupert of Warminster and his two nephews, Thomas Haupert and his wife Kathryn Bruton and David Haupert and his wife Nicole.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service with military honors at 11:30am on Friday, June 2nd in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pa 18940. Funeral procession for services to Washington Crossing National Cemetery will form for 10:30am departure at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Nicholas Quirke passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the age of 39. Nick is a Bucks County native and has lived in Point Pleasant, PA for the past 17 years.
Born in Smithtown, NY, he was the beloved son of Steven J. Quirke and Susan (Azzarello) Quirke. In addition to his parents, Nick's memory will live on through his sister Alessandra (Quirke) Shultz and her husband, Ryan; his adoring nieces and nephews, Adalia, Isabella, Dante, and Rocco; his maternal grandmother, Connie Azzarello and his paternal grandmother, Joan Quirke. He also leaves behind countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Nick grew up in Chalfont, PA, graduated from Central Bucks West High School, and spent most of his life in Bucks County. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Physics and later earned his Air Frame and Power Plant Certificate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He had a lifelong interest in cars and mechanics.
Nick was proud of his career as a helicopter mechanic and was also passionate about music, having been a talented saxophone and trumpet player. Marching band was an experience that followed him for life. Hardly a day went by that Nick didn't have his trumpet within reach, ready to fill the air around him with the sounds of his passion for music and for life.
Those who were fortunate enough to wander through his life were lucky enough to be able to share some of that. Although Nick battled the demons of addiction for quite some time, his love for family and commitment to those around him never faltered. He will be remembered for who he was, not the demons that followed him.
Nick’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 10:30 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 4050 Durham Rd., Ottsville, PA 18914. His interment will be private.

Catherine M. Schneider, of Newtown, PA died on Friday, May 19, 2017. She was 92.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Schneider.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Anna Arden McConnell.
She is survived by her children; Robert Schneider and his wife Mary Denise, Stephen R. Schneider and his wife Donna, Donna Lawall (the late Harry), Matthew F. Schneider and his wife Michelle, Theresa H. Mattera and her husband Jack. She is also survived by her 12 dear grandchildren and 6 precious great grandchildren.

Aubrie M. Kulp of Chalfont, PA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 18, 2017. She was 28.
Born in Sellersville, PA, Aubrie was the beloved daughter of Michael J. Kulp and Angela M. Monaco.
Aubrie graduated from Central Bucks West in 2007 and pursued her dream of becoming a hair stylist through the Paul Mitchell Academy. She had a passion for animals and she loved her cats and adored Boxer Canine. Aubrie enjoyed spending time with close family and her dearest friends. She will be dearly missed, but will always be in the hearts and minds of everyone whose life she has touched with her love and humor.
In addition to her loving parents, Aubrie is survived by her loving siblings: Berlyn Snyder, Marley Gladstone and her husband Cody, Harrison Brill, and Cheyenne Kulp. She is also survived by her grandparents John and June Monaco and Janice Howard.
Aubrie’s Funeral services and interment will be private.

Frederick Albert Stewart of Newtown died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, PA. He was 78.
Born in Philadelphia, Fred was the son of the late Edward Oliver and Jean Kaplan Stewart, the brother of the late Edward Jack Stewart and Alice May Stewart. He was the proud father of the late Keith Stewart.
Fred was born in Philadelphia and grew up on Long Beach Island, NJ. He attended Admiral Farragut Academy, followed by 2 years of service to our country in the US Coast Guard, of which he spoke frequently.
Fred was a long time resident of Bucks County working as a home renovation contractor until his retirement.
Community service was Fred's way of "paying back" through his activities with Northampton Days celebrations, Lions International, AARP Driver Safety and Guardians of the National Cemetery. In each of these, Fred always participated in full measure.
Fred is survived by many friends who will truly miss his presence and friendship. Thanks also to the caring staff of Brookdale Hospice.

Edward Francis Burns Jr. of New Britain, PA and Fort Myers, FL died May 17, 2017 in Bellevue, Nebraska. He was 65.
Edward was the beloved husband of 37 years to Louise D. Needham Burns.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Mary Harle Burns and the late Edward F. Burns.
Edward was a former resident of Philadelphia before moving to New Britain in 1990. He had a distinguished career as a Systems Analyst with Prudential Insurance for over 25 years and continued his career with Vanguard. Edward was a communicant of St. Jude Church in Chalfont and had coached baseball and football with Lenape Valley. In his leisure he enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He was proud of his Irish heritage and shared many a quality time with his family and cherished friends. Edward will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.
In addition to his beloved wife Louise, Edward is survived by his dearest children; Bridget Jaffe and her husband Mark of Souderton, Matthew Burns and Catherine Burns both of New Britain. He is also survived by his sisters, Maryanne Taylor of Philadelphia, Carol McElhone of Philadelphia and Joanne Quillec of Prairie Village, Kansas and his 2 grandchildren, Nolan Jaffe and Dominick Grillo.

Charles J. Gerstenbacher of Newtown, PA passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at The Hospital of Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. He was 76 years old.
He was the beloved husband of Nancy Myers Gerstenbacher for nearly 44 years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Laura Austin Gerstenbacher.
Chuck was a proud member of the Philadelphia police force, retiring in 1985 after 23 years of service. He then worked at the Inglis House front desk for many years. With his outgoing personality, he became a friend and confidant to many of the residents.
Friends and family were his priority. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle throughout Bucks County, Southern New Jersey and the tri-state area with his friends and Doo Wop dancing on Saturday nights with Nancy was a long-time routine.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, Chuck will be missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Chase and Noelle Gerstenbacher and his daughter and son-in-law, Jen and Tony Rosborough; and his grandchildren, Bennett, Nolan, Dylan and Baby Gerstenbacher, who will be born in November. He is also survived by his “sister” Gail Martin, and her husband, Tom.
Charles’ funeral service was held privately at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.

Patricia N. Vandergrift, of Warminster, PA died on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Gloria Dei Memory Care at the Park, Hatboro, PA. She was 81.
A life long resident of Bucks County Patricia was born in Davisville and has lived in Warminster for the past 50 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard M. Vandergrift, daughter of the late William and Margaret Somers Neill.
Patricia was a graduate of Upper Southampton-Warminster High School (now William Tennent High School). She worked for several years as a clerk for Bell Telephone Company and also as a Teacher’s aide at several preschools in the Warminster area.
Family was very important to Patricia, especially gatherings where she could show off her gardens and talk about her fighting Phillies. Patricia also enjoyed going to the Jersey shore and doing crossword puzzles. She will be sadly missed by her devoted and loving family.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kimberly A. Vandergrift and her wife Melinda Clark, her son Paul R. Vandergrift and his partner Lisa Peer. Two sisters, Sue Juckniewitz and Rebecca Kausch. She is also survived by Four dear grandchildren; Renee Martin, Ricky Vandergrift, Seth and Casey Clark. Three great grandchildren; Chase and Dylaney Martin and Ava Carlos.
