Nancy (Mim) Walsh

February 1st, 2011

Nancy Walsh (Mim) of Bensalem, PA died on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at St. Mary Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Margaret Dowd Walsh.
Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara McGranaghan, her brother, Thomas Walsh, and great nephew, Matthew Stuski.
She is survived by her brother, David Walsh, of Flourtown, PA, her sisters, Mae Tapley of Trevose, PA, and Joan Mitchell of Holland, PA. She will be deeply missed by her many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Nancy was lovingly called Mim by her great nieces and nephews. For the past sixteen years, Mim shared her weekdays with the Stuski family in Holland.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, from 10:00 am until her Funeral Mass 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church (Main Church), 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.

Raymond S. Zaketa of Doylestown formerly of Philadelphia died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. He was 78.

Elaine M. Willard (Alspach)

February 1st, 2011

Elaine M. Alspach Willard passed away quietly on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at her home in Wrightstown. She was 82.
Born in Lenoir City, TN, she was the beloved wife of 57 years to the love her life Samuel R. Willard Jr, She was devoted daughter of the late Elmer E. and Emma C. Sassman Alspach.
Elaine was a graduate of Kutztown University where she received her teaching degree. She taught in the Pennsbury School District for over 35 years in their elementary schools. Elaine was also the owner of Carousel Depot at Indian Walk in Wrightstown.
In addition to her beloved husband, Elaine is survived by her loving children and their spouses; Steve Willard and his wife Judy of Yardley, Glenn Willard and his wife Ann of Newtown, Ann Micir and her husband Pancho of Newtown and Sue Willard of Newtown. “Nan” was the most caring and loving grandmother of Nick and Abby Willard and Matt and Cassie Willard and Emily and Addie Micir.
Services and Interment will be held privately.

Stephen J. Ensinger of Holland, PA died on Friday, January 28, 2011, at his home. He was 21.
He was the son of the late Stephen L. Ensinger.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a life long resident of Holland. He graduated from Council Rock South High School. Stephen’s family was first and foremost, and his best times were the special times they had together. His gentle spirit, kind heart and warm smile, touched all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Eileen K. Luning Ensinger and William Dzmelyk, of Holland, his two sisters, Cassandra L. Ensinger of Holland and Riley Mae Ensinger of Holland, his maternal grandparents, James and Kathryn Dougherty Luning of Newtown, his paternal grandparents, Robert A. and Mildred M. Cromwell Ensinger of Holland.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday evening, February 2, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Paul C. Urban (Farrell)

January 28th, 2011

Paul C. Urban of Warrington died Friday, January 28, 2011 at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington. He was 63.

Paul was the beloved husband of Jacqueline M. Farrell Urban for 37 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary Hartley Urban Pollack, brother of the late Barbara Smith and grandfather of the late Bobby McFillin.

Paul was a former resident of Trevose and Ivyland before moving to Warrington in 2001. He had worked as the Director of Distribution for Betz Laboratories in Trevose for 29 years. Paul was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed watching and attending the Flyers, Eagles and Phillies games. Paul will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

In addition to his beloved wife Jacqueline, Paul is survived by his dearest children, Jennifer E. McFillin and her husband Robert of Hilltown, Keith E. Urban and his wife Michelle of North Wales, PA, Megan M. Urban of Durham, NC and Bridget A. Urban of Philadelphia. Also survived by his brother, Edward Urban of Stroudsburg, PA, his three sisters, Bernadette Frey and her husband Mark of Barto, PA, Regina Cundey and her husband James of Bay Village, OH and Catherine Demi and her husband Jack of Langhorne and his 3 grandchildren Ella, Carter and Dillon.

David E. Luff (Jones)

January 27th, 2011

David E. Luff of Holland, died peacefully on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at his residence. He was 85.

He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Betty A. Jones Luff. Born in Holland on the family farm, he was the son of the late Horace and Lydia Mann Luff, and was also predeceased by his 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

Dave was a life long resident of Northampton Township, he was a graduate of Richboro High School, class of 1943. Dave followed in his father’s footsteps and worked on the farm for many years, he knew the value of the earth and all he could produce.

In 1965, he went to work for the Dilks Fuel Oil Company in Newtown as a service technician where worked for over 30 years until his retirement in 1997.

Dave was a quiet unassuming man who loved his wife and family, he was talented carpenter and could make almost anything with his hands, he even built his own home. A mans home is his castle and Dave took pride in his, both inside, as well as his gardens. He was a member and former Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias, Defiance Lodge # 335, Newtown, and he was an avid Phillies fan. Dave will be remembered for is smile and gracious hand shake. He will be deeply missed by his devoted family and friends.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children and their spouses; Kenneth J. Luff and his wife Melanie of Montrose, PA, Mark D. Luff and his wife Kathy of Furlong and LeighAnn Bello and her husband Kenneth L. Jr. of Newtown, he is also survived by his 8 dear grandchildren; Emily P. Boyle (Chris), Keleigh Luff, David Bello, Kristina Luff, Travis D. Luff, Rachael Bello, Valerie and Adam Luff and 2 great grandchildren Logan and Navaleah Boyle.

Clare E. Colangelo (Gardner)

Clare E. Colangelo passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 27, 2011. Clare was born in New York City on June 30, 1944 the daughter of the late G. Harlow and Loretta Gardner.
Clare’s family moved to Fanwood, NJ when Clare was 11 years old. She graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School and received a teaching degree from Montclair University. She taught Home Economics for 6 years in East Brunswick Township, NJ. She then became a stay at home mother for her two sons in Freehold Township, NJ.
A talented seamstress and her love for sewing, Clare maintained a small dress making business from her home. She served as a religious education teacher and a coordinator of the confirmation program in the St Robert Bellarmine Church in Freehold for many years. For the past 7 years she has spent winters in Florida and summers in Ocean City, NJ.
Clare is survived by her loving husband, Robert, of 42 years and two sons, John of Baltimore, Md., and Daniel and his wife Carol of Mechanicsburg, PA. She is also survived by two brothers, Joseph and his wife Susan of Ocean City and Marco Island, Florida and Dr. Donald Gardner and his wife Billie of Brookfield Center, CN and Ocean City. Clare is also survived by many nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Clare. Her grandson, Aaron, was the source of great happiness and pride for her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday evening, February 4, 2011 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at THE GODFREY FUNERAL HOME 644 South Shore Rd. Palermo NJ., and on Saturday morning from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 40th and Asbury Ave. Ocean City. A Memorial Service will be held in Naples at a later date.

Mark F. Patterson

January 26th, 2011

Mark F. Patterson of Newtown, PA died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, after fighting a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was 55.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Weiss) Patterson for 31 years.
Born in Newton, MA, he was the son of Joan M. (Cargill) Patterson of Woonsocket, RI and the late Hedley V. Patterson, III.
Mr. Patterson was a resident of Newtown for the past 28 years. He was a member of the class of 1973 at Mount Saint Charles Academy High School in Woonsocket, RI. As a youth, Mark achieved the highest order in the Boy Scouts of America, and was an Eagle Scout. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from LaSalle University, Class of 1977. He went on to earn his Master of Business Administration degree at Rider University in NJ. Mark was employed by Schering-Plough Corporation for 32 years. Mark was an avid bird watcher, enjoyed landscaping, photography, and was a true craftsman. He loved all types of nature as well as sports which included his two favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Mark cherished family gatherings and celebrations. He will be deeply missed as a devoted husband, father, son and brother.
In addition to his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by his two daughters, Lauren Patterson and Allison VanVreede and her husband, Brian, both of Newtown. He is also survived by his sister, Miriam Patterson of New York, NY.

William C. Smiley of Lake Harmony, PA died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at his residence. He was 63.
He was the beloved husband of Audrey Cox Smiley for 32 years.
Born in Wilmington, DE he was one of the ten children of the late William and Joanna Woods Smiley.
Mr. Smiley was formerly of Philadelphia and has been a resident of Lake Harmony for the past 15 years where he enjoyed being surrounded by his family, watching NASCAR, spending time in nature, watching hawks, eagles and various wildlife in the area especially his favorite black bear “Buba”. His sense of humor will long be remembered by those who loved him.
In addition to his beloved wife Audrey, Bill is survived by his loving children Jason Smiley of Warminster, Melanie DeLong of Lake Harmony, Kelly Sztenderowicz of Feasterville, and Bev Timms of Angier, NC. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
