Jean E. Reich (Wolfgang)

February 27th, 2011

Jean E. Reich, of Richboro died suddenly on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL. She was 83.
She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Kenneth L. Reich.
Born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Nelda Leonard Wolfgang.
Jean moved from her hometown of Ashland, PA to Philadelphia in 1961. She was a resident of Richboro for the past 21years.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School, class of 1945. Following high school, Jean worked with her husband, Ken, at “The Ashland Daily News.”
Jean was an avid golfer and bridge player at Frankford-Torresdale Country Club in Philadelphia and Walden Lakes Country Club in Plant City, FL. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Society in Plant City and the Torresdale Women’s Committee in Philadelphia. She was a Girl Scout leader and an elementary school library aide. She worked at Paper Manufacturers Company in NE Philadelphia for ten years.
Jean was a warm, caring and charismatic wife, mother and grandmother, whose generous spirit touched everyone she knew. She found tremendous joy in treating her family to vacations at the Jersey shore and the Outer Banks every summer, and to her lovely home in Florida.
She is survived by her devoted daughters Sharon Reich-Cerogino and Melissa Reich and her husband Steven Jankowski of Yardley, her 2 sisters, Kathleen “Kitty” McManus and Elizabeth "Betty" Kehler. She will be deeply missed by her 8 dear grandchildren; Adam, Andrew, Scott, Alex, April, Mark, Julia and Rachel, and her many nieces and nephews.
She has wonderful friends who filled her life with joy both in the Philadelphia area, Bucks County and in Plant City, FL.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday March 5, 2011 from 8:30 am until her Funeral Mass 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church 654 Hatboro Rd. Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.

Stephen A. Slobojian

February 27th, 2011

Stephen A. Slobojian of Golden, CO and formerly of Holland, PA died on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at Lutheran Hospice Care in Colorado. He was 87.

He was the beloved Husband of 60 years to the late Emily Wladyka Slobojian.

Born in Austria, he was the son of the late Dmytro and Emilia Slobodzian.

Mr. Slobojian was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served for over 6 years and also during World War II. Since his retirement from Heintz-Kelsey Hayes, Stephen has enjoyed spending time with his wife at their house at the Jersey Shore with their family and friends. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed sharing his love of the sport with his whole family. He enjoyed spending time at the Northampton Senior Activity Center shooting pool, playing in Pinochle games, and fiercely competing in Bocce Ball Games. Stephen will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love him.

Stephen is survived by his loving children and their spouses; Irene Oliver and her husband Keith of Golden, CO, Stephen D. Slobojian and his wife Linda of Ottsville, Lorraine M. Deak and her husband David of North Wales, Sandra J. Dougherty and her husband Peter of Mt. Laurel NJ. He is also survived by his 10 dear grandchildren and also a great grandson.

Steven W. Wood

Steven W. Wood of Langhorne died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 60.
Steven was the beloved husband to Lynn R. Brictson Wood for 25 years.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Steven was the son of the late Robert and Alma Garrison Wood.
Steven was a former resident of Pittsburgh before moving to Langhorne in 1985. He was the Vice President and Manager working in Pittsburgh and was relocated to Philadelphia with Oliver Reality which eventually became known as Grubb/Ellis in Philadelphia. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during Vietnam. Steve enjoyed playing golf and vacationing with Lynn to Alaska and various other places of interest. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.
In addition to his beloved wife Lynn, Steve is survived by his brother James Wood and his niece Katie of both of Pittsburgh.

Mark J. Mullin

February 23rd, 2011

Mark J. Mullin, of Northeast Philadelphia, died peacefully at his home from natural causes on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. He was 44.

He was the dearest father Nicholas J. and Rachel. L Mullin and the devoted son of Nancy J. (Byrnes) Mullin and the late Dr. Hugh J. Mullin.

Mark was a resident of Northeast Philadelphia for the past few years. He was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1984 and attended West Chester University. A young man of many talents, Mark played football and hockey for Council Rock High School. He was a natural athlete and also played basketball and softball. He had an ear for music and found solace in playing his drums. For the past 17 years he was employed with United Parcel Service. He will be deeply missed by all that had the chance to know him.

In addition to his children and his mother, he is also survived by his brother Brian W. Mullin and his wife Erin and his sister Beth Mullin. He is the dear uncle of 2 nieces and 5 nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins and his former wife Susan M. Giammaruti-Mullin.

Mark’s family will receive condolences on Saturday March 5, 2011 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am at St. Christopher’s Church 13301 Procter Rd. Phila PA 19116. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.

Reid F. King

February 22nd, 2011

Reid F. King of Ivyland, PA, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at home surrounded by his family after a courageous five and half year fight with brain cancer. He was 61. He was the beloved husband of Judith A. King for 37 years.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Alice Matza King of Philadelphia and the late Albert King. Mr. King was a resident of Ivyland for the past 21 years. He attended Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1967. He was a graduate of LaSalle University, Class of 1971, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. Reid was a successful sales manager at numerous technology companies; spending more than 20 years with Tandem Computers, Inc. He ended his career as a worldwide sales manager with IBM.
In his leisure time, Reid enjoyed boating, sailing, golfing, and skiing. He was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his wife and children above all else. He enjoyed summers spent with his family at their house on Long Beach Island, NJ. He also enjoyed his family's annual vacations to the beaches of Bermuda. During Reid's heroic battle with cancer, he never failed to maintain a positive attitude. He had relentless determination and treated each day as a gift, which was truly inspiring to those around him.
He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, son and brother. In addition to his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by his three children; Ryan R. King, Justin T. King, and Stephanie L. King, all of Ivyland, his two brothers, Albert King Jr. and his wife, Joanne, of Langhorne, Wayne King and his wife, Maryann, of Downingtown, and his parents-in-law, John and Dorothy Young of Holland, PA.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, March 5, 2011, from 10:00 AM until his Memorial Service 11:00 AM at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 820 Almshouse Road, Ivyland, PA 18974. Interment will be private.

Patricia Frances Tangradi (Nickels)

Patricia Frances Tangradi passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, February 21, 2011.

Pat was the beloved wife for 43 years of Joseph A. Tangradi.

Born on March 13, 1947 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Lillian F. Nickels.

Patsy was the loving mother of Joe (Tricia) of New Hope and Jon (Chris) of Quakertown. She was the “favorite” sister of Barbara M. Tramo (Bob) of Buckingham and John W. Nickels (Kathy) of Chalfont. Happy to call her their Grandmom are Katie, Patrick, Jack, Claudia and Devin Tangradi.

Her lively wit and loving concern will be missed by her surviving Aunt Mildred Costello of Pottsville along with nieces, nephews and cousins, sisters and brothers- in-law as well as countless friends. Patsy lived with quiet strength, laughed often and loved deeply. She worked for several years as a school bus driver and then bus monitor for Council Rock School District where she was loved by the children. Pat felt honored to be a Eucharistic Minister at St. Andrew R.C. Church.

Patricia Jean DiMiglio (Howes)

Patricia Jean DiMiglio of Ivyland, PA died peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 69.

She was the beloved wife of James J. DiMiglio for 41 years.

Born in Richboro, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth Ann Tomlinson Howes and mother of the late George DiMiglio.

Mrs. DiMiglio was a resident of Ivyland for the past 41 years and was raised in Richboro. She enjoyed all types of Norman Rockwell figurines, cooking and trying out different recipes that she saw on cooking shows, and also travelling with her husband on cruises. Being family oriented, Jean especially enjoyed the times spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her six children, Deborah M. Copeland and her husband, Danny, of Bradenton, FL, James J. DiMiglio Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Furlong, Patricia A. DiMiglio of Furlong, Robert W. Murphy and his wife, Jennifer, of Barboursville, VA, Cletus B. DiMiglio of Bradenton, FL, and Leisa A. Ratka and her husband, Richard, of Perkasie. She is also survived by her sister, Georgeanne Dillon, of Penndel, her 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Kathleen “Kay” Mayhew (Conrey)

February 20th, 2011

Kathleen “Kay” Mayhew, 73 years young, has taken her place among the Angels on February 20, 2011.

She was born and raised in Philadelphia and has been a long time resident of Washington’s Crossing, PA. Kay’s life is remembered and celebrated by her husband of 51 years Ronald Mayhew. Also in celebration are Kay and Ronald’s three daughters and their respective husbands Kelly Mayhew-Grofe, Laura and her husband Timothy Whartenby, and Karen and her husband Jason Burton.

She has followed in the steps of her late brother and sister-in-law John and Terry Conrey. Her brother-in-law Giovanni Petri is also welcoming her arrival at the gates. She is thought of in fond memories by her three remaining sisters and their respective husbands. Sue and her husband Dr. Walter Dombkoski, Peggy, wife of Giovanni, and Carol and her husband Carl Riday.

Kay has left behind a shining example of living life to the fullest and filling the hearts of those around her with love to her six grandchildren as well as numerous nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and great-nieces.

For the unfortunate who did not know this wonderful lady, she possessed an ability to make everyone laugh with her one liners. She was also known to turn the floors of Atlantic City casinos into a race track as she made her way to her favorite slots. She enjoyed traveling to vineyards around the world with her husband and putting the finish to a perfect day with a well made Manhattan or glass of Champagne.

Caeser Montemuro

Caeser B. Montemuro, of Newtown, PA died on Friday, February 18, 2011, at Manor Care Yardley. He was 93.
He was the beloved husband of the late Roseanne Marinucci Montemuro and grandfather of the late Robert Massaroni.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Antonio and Teresa Mauro Montemuro.
Caeser grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Frankford High School. He then enlisted into the Army Air Force and served during World War II. After being honorably discharged and returning home, he immediately found a job with Sears before starting a career with the Naval Air Technical Services Facility (NATSF). He worked with them for over 25 years before retiring as one of their Procurement Analysts in the early 1970’s.
Throughout his life, Caeser was always active and physically fit. He constantly worked at staying in shape and would swim regularly. He was a tried and true Philadelphia sports fan, and was especially dedicated to the Phillies. More than all of that, he was a devoted father and grandfather who loved to spend time surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his children Rick Montemuro of Langhorne, Barbara Massaroni and her husband Roland of Trevose, and his sister Stella Sicilia of Cape May, NJ. He is also survived by his grandson Christopher Massaroni and his wife Kimberly and their children Gianna and Olivia and his granddaughter in law Valeria Massaroni. He will be missed by his family, extended family and many friends, with all of their hearts.

She is also survived by her sister, Gisela Janowski of Hanover, Germany.
