Bruna A. Pietrangelo, a longtime resident of Warrington, formerly of the Nicetown section of Philadelphia, was called to heaven on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Doylestown Hospital. She was 101.
She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Pietrangelo.
Born on June 4, 1909 in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Bertrando and Carmela Balzano Spada, and sister of the late Alfred, Peter and Albert Spada and Philomena Brinkos.
She is survived by her son, Robert Pietrangelo and his wife Deborah of West Palm Beach, FL, her daughter, Joanne Tevere and her husband Anthony of Warrington, PA, and her son, Peter Pietrangelo of Warrington, PA. She was loved and adored by her 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Charles E. “Chuck” Barrett Jr., of Perkasie, PA died on Monday, April 18, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 62.
He was the beloved husband of 10 years to Melissa Wentz Barrett.
Born in Doylestown, PA, he was the son of the late C. Edward and Florence Thompson Barrett.
Chuck has been a life long resident of Bucks County. He grew up in Doylestown and graduated from Central Bucks High School and Delaware Valley College and the University of Virginia where he received his Masters of Business Administration.
Chuck has had a long and distinguished career spanning over 39 years in the banking industry. A career which began as an Assistant Vice President, Bank Manager to currently, Vice President , Municipal Banking for TD Bank.
He was a hard working and keen businessman, who gave back to his community. He proudly served as an adjunct faculty member at Delaware Valley College and Bucks County Community College, where he taught undergraduate Business Management courses for many years. He was proudly serving on; the Bucks County Community College Foundation Board, and Bucks 4 Kids, NFP, in addition to having served as a Past Board Member of the Bucks County Economic Development Corporation and Private Industry Council. He will always be remembered for the dedication he gave to his community through the boards and associations he served and the accomplishments they achieved.
Chuck had a quick wit and a great sense of humor and loved to golf. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially on his annual trips to Hilton Head Island, SC. His positive attitude and devotion to his family and friends will be deeply missed.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his children Conor, Katharine, Chase, Ryan Barrett and his wife Leia of Plumstead, Melissa Rosenberg and her husband Steven of Chatham, NJ, his four grandchildren Ava and Alex Rosenberg and Thomas and Patrick Barrett. He is also survived by his former wife Marjorie Barrett of Doylestown, PA.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 9:00 am until his Funeral Service 11:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (Route 202 & Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will be held privately.

Wilbur B. Lawson, of Richboro, PA, died on April 17, 2011.
Wilbur was the beloved husband of Lucy (nee Jannett), devoted father of Janet Pietrak (Skip), and Judy Blaney (Joe). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Keith Pietrak (Patty), Kim Decher (Mike), Joseph and Christopher Blaney; 4 great grandchildren, Connor, Austin, Keegan Pietrak and Coulton Decher and numerous nieces and nephews.

John D. Pizzi Jr. of Langhorne, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 on his 86th birthday.
He was the beloved husband of Nancy T. Santicerma Pizzi.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John D. Pizzi Sr. and Maria Domenica Renzi Pizzi.
Mr. Pizzi was a proud Army Veteran who served in the Pacific during World War II. He has been a resident of Langhorne for 26 Years. In 1953 he and his wife founded John’s Market in South Philadelphia. In 1978 he opened Family Food Markets, New Falls Road Levittown. He retired in 1984.
John was an avid collector of world coins and a Presidential history buff.
John was a faithful communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland, and held a Special devotion to Blessed Pope John Paul II. He will be sadly missed by everyone who has come to know and love him and by everyone whom he made laugh with his many different jokes.
In addition to his beloved wife, John is survived by his 2 children Angelina M. Verna and her husband Tony of Langhorne, PA, and John D. Pizzi III and his wife Doreen of Philadelphia, PA, his 2 sisters Rita Argondizza and Mae Veneziale. He is also survived by his 4 loving grandchildren Anthony M. Verna, III, Nicole Snyder (James), Deanna, and Michael Pizzi.

Carmine A. Prato of Holland, PA died on Friday, April 15, 2011, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 70.
He was the beloved husband of Joyce M. Danks Prato for 47 years.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Baptist and Concetta Cafagna Prato.
Mr. Prato was a resident of Holland for the past 37 years. He graduated from Frankford High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1958. He served in the U.S. Army reserves from 1962 to 1968. For over 50 years, Carmine was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 19 in Philadelphia. He was a member of the union’s retirees club. In his leisure time, he enjoyed dabbling in the stock market and discussing finances. Being family oriented, he especially enjoyed the times spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Robert E. Prato and his wife, Wendy, of Richboro, Michael A. Prato and his wife, Theresa Casey, of Philadelphia, Lynne C. Prato and her husband, Scott Dwyer, of Furlong, and three sisters, Mary Grace Prato of Sarasota, FL, Roseanne Lupo of Warrington, and Elizabeth Finnegan of Southampton. He is also survived by his three loving grandchildren, Anthony, Maria, and Christina Prato and his mother-in-law, Ida Danks of Holland.

Brooke S. Miller, of Furlong, died on Friday, April 15, 2011. She was 22.
Born in Abington, she was the devoted daughter of Michael F. Miller and Cheryl Ledford and Beth Sweeney Miller and Paul Brady.
She was the beloved granddaughter of the late William Sweeney and the late Rose and Harry Miller.
Brooke was a resident of Furlong, for the past 7 years having formerly lived in Trevose.

She was a graduate of Central Bucks East High School, class of 2007; she attended West Chester University and was a graduate of Bucks County School of Beauty Culture in Feasterville. Brooke was presently the manager of Regis Hair Salon in Horsham.
Brooke was a young lady of many talents she was a softball player, gymnast, roller skater and also a cheerleader and cheerleading coach. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her brother Michael Ryan Miller, her maternal grandmother Joan Sweeney of Langhorne and her many aunts and uncles; Mike and Alison Annan, Pat and Melanie Moffatt, Dan and Pat Miller, Harry and Vera Miller and her godparents George and Debbie Lee.

Joseph Vincent Battipaglia of Newtown, Pennsylvania, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 in Savannah, Georgia. He was 55.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Hall) Battipaglia, celebrating 30 years of marriage in July 2010.
Born in Astoria, Queens, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ann Battipaglia. After attending Fordham Preparatory School, he graduated Phi Beta Kappa in Economics from Boston College and earned his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He began his career as a securities analyst at Elkins & Co. before becoming a financial analyst for the Exxon Corporation. He held numerous executive positions throughout his 18 years with Gruntal & Co. and was the former Chief Investment Officer at Ryan, Beck & Co. before becoming the Chief Market Strategist at Stifel Nicolaus in 2007. He was a well respected Wall Street personality and could be seen offering his perspective on the day’s events as a frequent guest on CNBC and Fox Business News.
Family and friends always came first and Joe would do anything to help them succeed. Family card games down the shore in Lavallette, NJ were easily the highlight of any weekend trip as Joe’s jokes kept his family laughing all night. He was a loving and loyal husband and the best father any child could ever ask for. He taught his children invaluable life lessons and how to lead an honorable life as he had done. His desire to achieve greatness and the grace with which he led his life won’t ever be forgotten.
An avid sports fan and proud father, Joe could be found on the weekends in the stands cheering for his three children as they competed athletically at Dartmouth College, Georgetown University, and the United States Naval Academy.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of thirty years Mary Ann, his three children Matthew, Christen, and Jeffrey, his loving mother-in-law Esther Hall, and his maternal aunts Lucy, Evelyn, and Mary.

William Warren McClurken, a resident of Langhorne, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 11th, 2011 at his residence. He was 73 years old.
Warren was the beloved husband of 49 years to Diane McClurken. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William W. and Margaret Smith McClurken.
Warren was a graduate of the Pennsylvania Military College and co-founder of the Scargill-McClurken Insurance Agency. Warren thrived on the happiness and success of others and was known by friends and colleagues as a profound gentlemen, astute businessman, amazing golfer, and loving family man. Sharp wit, a great sense of humor, a never ending positive Attitude, and a constant smile and twinkle of optimism in his eye were his hallmarks. One of his highest proofs of character was that he related to so many people on so many levels no matter their age, background, or position in life, and he loved nothing more than to spend time with his family and friends.
Warren was also an active member of the local business community, supporter of numerous charities, and an avid golfer who was always eager to help anyone learn the wonderful game of golf. Warren served as a guidepost to many on how to carry oneself as a man, a husband, a father, and a friend. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his beloved wife Diane, Warren is survived by his loving son William W. McClurken and Angie Rosillo of Delray Beach, FL, the Williams Family of Wilkes Barre, PA, and many colleagues and friends.

Edward Paul Petrillo of Holland died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Holy Redeemer Hospice Unit surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old.
Edward was the beloved husband of 55 years to Gloria June Madonna Petrillo.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Mabel Hettler Petrillo and the brother of the late Robert Petrillo.
Edward was a resident of Holland for 48 years having formerly resided in Philadelphia. He was a successful and respected businessman who had founded Maytag Quaker City Service in 1960, Petrillo Appliances in Feasterville in 1970 and Tri-Ad Distributors in Bensalem, PA. Edward was a member of various organizations which included the Bustleton Lions Club, the Toastmasters Club of Philadelphia and the Sons of Italy Allisondroni Lodge in Philadelphia and was a communicant of the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown. Edward will be deeply missed by his family and by everyone who experienced the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his beloved wife Gloria, Edward is survived by his four sons, Mark Edward Petrillo and his wife Marie of Chalfont, Bruce Edward Petrillo and his wife Denise, Gary Edward Petrillo and his wife Linda all of Newtown and Steven Edward Petrillo of Holland. He is also survived by his brother, John Petrillo of Warminster and his eight cherished grandchildren, James, Michael, Dana, Danielle, Lisa Marie, Alissa, Natalie and Christina.

James A. Fonash, of Feasterville, died peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Chandler Hall Hospice. He was 86.
He was the beloved husband of 55 years to late Rose Marie Rufo Fonash. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Albert and Anna Reilly Fonash and was pre-deceased by his 2 sisters; Margaret Fonash and Mary Roth and his 7 brothers; Albert, Raymond, Edward, Robert, Charles, John and Joseph Fonash.
Jim was a resident of Feasterville for the past 50 years and was a communicant of Assumption BVM Church. A proud veteran of the United States Army, during World War II, he was the recipient of the Silver Star and a Purple Heart for his extraordinary heroism while serving his country. After his service, Jim worked for U.S. Steel Company as a machinist for over 35 years, retiring in 1986.
Jim enjoyed working around his home and could make or fix most anything. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed traveling and exploring many of our country’s national parks. He loved to get out on the water and do some fishing with family and friends. He was a member of a boat club for many years with his best friend Al Moss. What Jim was so proud of were his children and grandchildren who were so devoted and caring. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Christine R. Kosinski and her husband Edward of Langhorne, James R. Fonash and his wife Donna L. of Chalfont, and his 4 devoted grandchildren Kyle and Josh Kosinski, Jaime Voels (Ryan), Jared Fonash, and his great grandson Jackson Voels. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
