George Montgomery

September 29th, 2011

George A. Montgomery, of Souderton, PA died on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at home with his family by his side. He was 63.
He was the beloved husband of Arlene A. Fedezko Montgomery.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Alfred and Dolores Goodman Montgomery.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters Jennifer Steinhauer and her husband Ron of Harleysville, and Lisa Stubbs of Souderton. He is also survived by his 2 granddaughters; Ella and Sarah.

Lisa D. Lowe-Weil (Lowe)

September 29th, 2011

Lisa D. Lowe-Weil of Chalfont passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 29, at Fox Subacute Warrington, PA. She was 55.

She was the beloved wife of 16 years to Robert Weil.

Born in Minneapolis, MN she was the daughter of the late William Lowe and Dorothy Swenson Lowe Johnson.

Mrs. Weil was a graduate of Harcum College in Bryn Mawr who furthered her studies at Arcadia University. She was a talented and well adored canine groomer who owned and operated Tender Loving Clipper for over 22 Years. She was an active member of the West Highland White Terrier Club for many years. Lisa will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love her and appreciate her talents with the grooming of many pets.

In addition to her husband Robert, Lisa is survived by her sister Julie Di Ioia and her husband Rob of Chalfont and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lisa’s family will receive condolences on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 11:00AM until her Memorial Service 12 Noon at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901.

Interment will be conducted privately.

Charles R. Cauvin Jr.

September 29th, 2011

Charles R. Cauvin Jr. of Holland, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was 81.

He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Helen Perseponko Cauvin.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Elvira Pontarelli Cauvin.

Mr. Cauvin was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Charles was a kind and loving family man who enjoyed creating many memories with his children and grandchildren throughout the years. He will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love him.

In addition to his wife Helen, Charles is survived by his loving children; Andrea Curdts of Quakertown, PA, Carla A. Cauvin of Nederland, CO, Denise L. Cauvin of Newtown, PA, Danielle L. Cauvin of Johnstown, PA, Paula Cauvin and her husband Benjamin Yu of Somerville, NJ, and Charles R. Cauvin III and his wife Kristi of Feasterville, PA. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Cauvin, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Claire J. Paralis (Graham)

September 27th, 2011

Claire J. Graham Paralis of Langhorne passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 27, surrounded by her loving family at St. Mary Medical Center after many courageous battles throughout the years, she succumbed to Breast Cancer. She was 77.

She was the beloved wife of 42 years to the late Donald G. Paralis.

Born in Luzerne County, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florentina Graham and sister of the late Joseph Graham.

Mrs. Paralis was a longtime Levittown resident and relocated to Langhorne over twelve years ago. She attended Pringle Hill school district and graduated as valedictorian in 1952 and graduated on a Scholarship from College Misericordia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathmatics and Chemistry also as Valedictorian in 1956.

Claire was surrounded by her loving family and cared for by her children at home for many years. Family was most important to her. She was a kind, loving and generous person. She loved time spent with her family; neighbors, and companionship of her loving dogs; Dolly and Nicholas. In earlier years, she enjoyed bowling, annual family trips to Seaside Park, NJ, Family outings and traveling with her husband all over the Caribbean Islands.

Claire was a member of Queen of the Universe church for many years. She briefly taught in the Bristol Township school district, worked at Rohm and Haas as a chemist, and also worked at JC Penney.

Claire is survived by her loving children; Bruce Paralis (Arlene), Dawn M. Paralis (Barbara Lansing), and Scott Paralis (Tracy), and puppy Nicholas. She is also survived by; her sister Roseanne Chickanosky (David), her brothers Jack Graham (Diane), Edward Graham (Joan), Donald Graham (Donna), sister-in-laws Carleen Graham (Joseph), and Patricia Knepper (Wallace), her step great granddaughter Tabitha and many nieces and nephews.

Claire’s family will receive condolences on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 from 9:00AM until her Memorial Mass 10:00 AM at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd. Levittown, PA 19056.

Interment will be conducted privately.

John K. Wolff

September 27th, 2011

John K. Wolff, of Doylestown, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at his home with his family at his side. He was 81.

He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Melvina S. Wolff. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John F. and Evelyn Letson Wolff.

John was a resident of Doylestown, since 1966, he attended Mercersburg Academy and Lafayette College. John’s community involvement goes back many years; he was the first Borough Manager for New Britain Borough and was hands on with the construction of the Borough Office Building and his managerial skills brought the office into the 20th century.

John was the former owner and operator of EPCO Graphics, which made dials and highly calibrated instrument scales through a photographic process. With the change in technology, John sold his business and turned his property into the Ironwood Business Office Complex on the same site of the former EPCO Graphics.

John was a faithful and active member of Lenape Valley Presbyterian Church in New Britain where is served as an Elder and Clerk of Session for many years. He also served a term as a District Moderator for the Presbytery of Philadelphia.

In 1972 John and Mel purchased 125 acres of land just outside of Honesdale, PA, where they designed and oversaw the construction of their home by their Lake. This retreat for family and friends, proved to be wonderful place for their children and grandchildren to gather, often as many 80 or more would camp out on his front lawn during the holidays or special occasions. This became known as the Wolff’s retirement home for ten years, until poor health brought them back to Doylestown in 2005. John was an avid golfer and a member of Doylestown Country Club for over 20 years and served on their Board of Directors for 3 years.

In addition to his beloved wife Mel, he is also survived by his devoted children; Carolyn W. Ventresca and her husband Robert, and John W. Wolff and his wife Caroline, his sister Roberta Nehlig and her husband Andrew; his 4 grandchildren Melissa Ventresca, Nick Ventresca and his wife Christianna, John Robert Wolff and Olivia Wolff.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Sunday October 2, 2011 at 4:00 pm at Lenape Valley Presbyterian Church, Rt. 202 and Ute Rd. New Britain, PA 18901. John’s family will receive condolences in the Heinsohnn Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. Interment will be private.

Thomas R. Morrow

Thomas R. Morrow of Warminster died peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, September 26, 2011 at home. He was 59.

He was the beloved husband of 34 years to Margaret Michelle Morrow.

Born in Hatboro, he was the son of Dorothy I. Gillies Morrow and the late Thomas R. Morrow.

Thomas grew up in Hatboro and has resided in Warminster for the last 23 years. Thomas was employed as an information technology specialist for McGuire Air Force Base. He also served in the 913th Air Force Mission Support Group and the 201st Red Horse Squadron Air National Guard for 39 years. He toured Iraq in 2009. He was a very hardworking man and took great pride in serving his country and providing for his family.

In addition to his loving wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Megan D. Hill and her husband Brian, Victoria Morrow and Thomas J. Morrow, his sister Linda Grose and her husband Bob, his brother Raymond Morrow and his wife Terry. He is also survived by his grand-daughter Addison and many nieces and nephews.

Adrienne Nicole Catherine Verona

September 26th, 2011

Adrienne Nicole Catherine Verona of Richboro, PA passed away suddenly on Monday, September 26, 2011, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 37.

She was the beloved daughter of Dennis and Pat Reiter Verona.

Adrienne was born in Philadelphia and moved to Bucks County at the age of four. She attended Council Rock Schools and graduated in 1992. Adrienne pursued a Fine Arts course of study at Marywood University, Tyler School of Art, Bucks County Community College, and Arcadia University. She was a member of the American Crafters Guild and enjoyed designing and creating her own jewelry. Adrienne was a lovely person and a beautiful daughter. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her beloved parents, she is survived by her brother and his wife, Damian and Larissa Verona, her aunts and uncles; James and Marita Clark, Nicholas and Joan Reiter, and Kathleen and Philip Sandor; her cousins; Shane and Kaitlyn Clark, Jennifer Cook , Stacy Neal, and Sean and Scott Chapman.

John S. Daly

John S. Daly of Ivyland, PA formerly of Warwick, NY passed away on September 25, 2011 at 83 years of age.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James Daly and Sara Rafter Daly.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Murphy Daly. He is survived by a daughter, Sara E. Daly, his sister, Claire Kelly and her husband Thomas P. Kelly. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, James Daly.

Timothy Francis O'Leary

September 23rd, 2011

Timothy Francis O'Leary went to his eternal rest on September 23, 2011, at Pine Run Health Center, after a long, fierce battle with heart disease. He was 78 years old.

Timothy was born in Kearney, New Jersey, April 28, 1933, the second son of the late John and Margaret (Daniels) O'Leary. He graduated from St. Cecilia's High School, Class of 1951, where he found time to be in the Glee club, manage the soccer team and, in his senior year, be elected to President of the Senior class.

Timothy spent a short time in the Air Force, where the heart murmur that grounded him was first detected. He then worked in the IBM departments of Fireman's Insurance and Western Electric. Later, he made the move to a career in the food service industry, working for ShopRite and King's Supermarkets as Dairy Manager.

His passions in life were his children, baseball (love those Phils!), mystery novels, the Jersey Shore, and money management. Daily exercise kept his heart going and his spirit strong.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Markeveys (Joel) of Doylestown, Pa; Timothy O'Leary II (Rose) of Clinton, N.J.; Theresa Bunin (Charles) of Scotch Plains, N.J.; Susan Goodyear of Linden, N.J.; and Kathleen Jensen (Jeffrey) of Califon, N.J.; as well as his former wife, Patricia Kane of Cranford, N.J. Also surviving Timothy are his beloved grandchildren: Jesse Markeveys; Miles, Melinda and Colin O'Leary; Caitlin, Courtney and C.J. Bunin; and Daniel and Jessica Jensen. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister Catherine.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Timothy's life at the Westwood, 438 North Ave., Garwood, N.J., 07027, on Saturday, October 1, 2011, from noon to three pm.

Virginia M. Decker

September 21st, 2011

Virginia M. Decker, of Newtown, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at Pickering Manor Home in Newtown. She was 81.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James D. and Anna Marie Biemer Decker.

“Ginny”, as she was known grew up in Fox Chase and was a graduate of Olney High School, where she excelled in Field Hockey, Softball and Basketball. She had a long and fulfilling career with the US Government, first, working in the Customs Office and then at the Arsenal in Philadelphia for over 47 years. For several years she lived in Leisuretown, New Jersey before moving to Holland in 1996 and then Newtown in 2007.

Ginny was an athlete who enjoyed bowling and spent her free time bowling with friends. She was a dedicated, active and longtime member and volunteer, who gave her time and talents to St. John’s United Methodist Church, Ivyland. She was willing to do whatever was needed and no task was too small or beneath her. The pride she took in the church and the support she shared with the members will long be remembered.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, J. Duane and Jacquelyn Decker of Holland, and her sister Bettye Smith of Gaithersburg, MD. She is also survived by her 4 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing, Monday, September 26, 2011 from 9:00 am until her Funeral Service 11:00 am at St. John United Methodist Church, 820 Almshouse Rd., Ivyland, PA 18974. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.
