Sophie Ann Kenny (Cagnetta)

March 4th, 2012

Sophie Ann Cagnetta Kenny of Warwick passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012. She was 76.

Better Known as Cookie, she was the beloved wife of 56 years to Donald J. Kenny.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Anna Messina Cagnetta.

Cookie was a resident of Warwick for 11 years, having formerly resided in Valley Stream, Long Island in New York. She was an avid tennis player, and she enjoyed sharing her love of music with everyone around her. She will be sorely missed by everyone who came to know and love her.

In addition to her loving husband Donald, Cookie’s memory lives on through her daughters: Donna Mollenhauer and her husband Frank, and Debbie Marino and her husband Martin, both of Richboro. She is the loving sister of Joyce Tomaino and JoAnn Cagnetta and dearest grandmother of her 6 grandchildren.

Howard A. Leister, M.D.

March 4th, 2012

Howard A. Leister, M.D. of Doylestown, PA died on Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 78.

He was the beloved husband of Irene E. Lickman Leister for 49 years.

Born in Bristol, PA, he was the son of the late Howard I. and Edith M. Green Leister of Glen Aston Farms, Bensalem, PA.

Dr. Leister was a resident of Doylestown for the past 4 years and formerly lived in Newtown for 40 years. Howard graduated from Bensalem High School and earned his undergraduate degree at the College of Wooster in Wooster, OH, Class of 1955.

After graduating from Jefferson Medical School he served as the commanding officer of a MASH Hospital in Korea from 1960 to 1962. Dr. Leister was a family physician for more than 40 years in Newtown, PA.

He was a long time member and past president of the Newtown Rotary Club. He was also a member of the American Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Bucks County Medical Society and the Newtown Reliance Company.

Howard loved his family and friends and had an active social life. He was an avid traveler, gardener, sailor and art collector. He truly loved life and helped so many throughout his community. He will be sadly missed as a devoted husband, brother, and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his sister, Grace Stetson and her husband, Dr. Harold Stetson, of Newtown, PA and his two brothers-in law, Rev. Peter D. Lickman of Miami, FL and John M. Lickman of New Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by his niece, Edith, and his two nephews, Rob and Harold.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 9:30 AM until his Funeral Service 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will be private.

Marion P. Lorenzo (Napoli)

March 3rd, 2012

Marion P. Lorenzo of Warrington, PA died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington. She was 83.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the Dominich and Catherine Nuccio Napoli.

Marion was a longtime resident of Warminster before moving to Warrington. She passionately enjoyed competing in various mixed and senior Bowling Leagues at the Bowling center on Street Rd. in Feasterville. She also had an innate talent for cooking and will always be remembered by her family and friends for the many meals she had created. She will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love her.

She is survived by her loving and devoted children; Daniel M. Lorenzo and his wife Angela of Cocoa Beach, FL, Denise Steinhardt and her husband Robert of Hicksville, NY, and Frank J. Lorenzo and his wife Sherry of Holland, PA. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment will be conducted privately.

Kathleen S. Corbidge, (nee Schmid) of Southampton, PA died peacefully at St. Joseph’s Manor on March 3, 2012. She was 85.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late William J. Corbidge, sister of the late Alice McKeever, Dolores Antel, Chris Schmid. She is survived by her loving children; Kathleen Constable, William J. Corbidge (Kim), Diane Cole (Dan), and Debra A. Quirk (Thomas). Kathleen was the dear sister of John Schmid and Wilma Mahoney, and 9 loving grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial and Interment will be private.

Mary R. Schu (nee Davish), of Southampton, PA, died on March 2, 2012.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Robert Allan Schu, Sr. and devoted mother of Robert Allan Jr., Kathleen M. O’Leary (Joseph), William J. Sr. (Helene), Brian J. Sr. (Nancy), Elaine M. Walker (James), John D. (Rita), James G. (Jean) and the late Rosemary T. Benton. She was the dear sister of Francis Davish (June) and Thomas Davish. Mary is also survived by her 21 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Zenophon G. Tomaras

February 29th, 2012

Zenophon G. Tomaras, 82 died peacefully in his sleep on February 29, 2012 after a short illness.

Zenophon was the beloved husband of Isabella Vos and the late Marie S. Kurilla Tomaras.

He is a graduate of Georgetown University and St. Joseph's colleges. Zenophon grew up in Shenandoah and relocated to Pennsylvania with his first wife Marie Kurilla to raise his family. An avid animal lover he raised Homing Pigeons and Chickens. He worked with Bucks County to get a model flying field and was successful in starting up a local chapter. The field is in use today by people young and old.

Zenophon is survived by his daughter Barbara A. Tomaras of Doylestown, his son Thomas G. Tomaras and his wife Debra of Abiline, TX and his grandsons Gregory and Alex.

Loretta M. Steidle of Holland, PA died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown. She was 96.

Loretta was the beloved wife of the late Earl Walker and the late Carl Steidle and mother of the late James Walker.

Born in Mackeysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Delaney Murphy and preceded in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Loretta is survived by her children, Charles Gregory Walker and his wife Lois of Myrtle Beach, SC and Judy M. Ercolani and her husband Alphonso of Holland. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1great great granddaughter.

Linda L. Hayes (Hoolachan)

February 27th, 2012

Linda L. Hayes, of Yardley, PA died on Monday, February 27, 2012, at Chandler Hall Hospice. She was 69.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert S. Hayes Jr.

Born in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Sally Harris Hoolachan and sister of the late Nancy and Robert Brownell and Myron and Mary Zimmerman.

Linda grew up in Carbondale and moved to Levittown in 1954 where she was one of the original “Levittown Kids”. In 1960 she was part of the first graduating class of Woodrow Wilson High School and then went on to Bell Telephone where she remained until her retirement in 1991.

For over 45 years Linda was a member of the Levittown Presbyterian Church, then in 1998 she joined Woodside Presbyterian Church where she became an involved and dedicated member serving on various committees. Linda had many talents and gifts, and enjoyed sharing her kind and compassionate ways with her family and friends.

A special token of her love and friendship would often come in the form of a quilt. These were no ordinary quilts. They were not only made with love, but also with great skill. Her quilting talents were exceptional and throughout the years had been given recognition at the Grange Fair. These tokens of expression and her quite loving ways will always be remembered.

She is survived by her nephews Bruce Brownell of and his wife Ann Catasauqua, PA, Timothy Brownell of Jermyn, PA, Kreg Zimmerman of California, and her niece Karen Chaudoin of North Carolina.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Woodside Presbyterian Church, 1667 Edgewood Road, Yardley, PA 19067. Her family will receive friends following the service.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA.

Joseph P. Kelly

Joseph P. Kelly,of Feasterville, died suddenly on February 26, 2012.

Born in Philadelphia, he attended North East Catholic HS and LaSalle University and was a proud veteran of the US Army. He started his own Real Estate business “Kelly Corporation Realtors” and was a real estate broker in the Bucks County area for many years.

He was the beloved son of the late Patrick Joseph and Marie Elizabeth Kelly. He is survived by his brother James P. and his wife Anne C. Kelly, his sisters Marie Kelly Logan and Frances Palumbo and brother-in-law Marty Connor. Preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses John Kelly, Art Logan, Charles Palumbo, Margaret Kelly Connor, Patricia and Andrew Ebert, Alice and Bill Riehl, Rita and Kevin Cassidy and Nancy and Bob Wheeler. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Ellen Asma (Bradford)

Ellen B. Asma, of Holland, PA died suddenly on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at her residence in Twining Village. She was 84.

She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert John Asma.

Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Frances Kane Bradford, mother of the late Martha Roberts and sister of the late Jeanne Moran.

Ellen grew up in New Haven and was voted “Wittiest Girl” in her senior class at Hillhouse High. Throughout her life, she delighted her family and friends with her wit and sense of humor. Along with John, her husband of 59 years, Ellen was instrumental in bringing Christian Family Movement to the greater Philadelphia area. Ellen also worked as a volunteer at Interfaith Housing Development Corporation of Bucks County. A resident of Bucks County since 1962, she moved to Twining Village in 2006. While at Twining Village, she continued to enjoy playing bridge and was an active member of the Residents' Association.

She is survived by her three children Betsey Murphy of Yardley, John F. Asma of Katy TX, Jeanne Redmond and her husband Peter of LaGrange NY, and her son-in-law George Roberts of Becket, MA. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Ellen's family and friends admired her courage in the face of adversity and will miss her beautiful smile and loving heart.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 8:30 — 9:30 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newton Richboro Rd.
