Kathleen M. Scott

April 22nd, 2012

Kathleen M. Scott, of Chalfont, died peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the home of her sister Mary in Plymouth Meeting. She was 66.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late W. Frank Scott and Agnes M. Sheridan Scott and sister of the late Suzanne F. Scott.

Kathleen was a resident of Chalfont for the past 10 years. For 38 years she devoted her life to care for those less fortunate as a member of the religious order of the Little Sisters of the Assumption, where she was known as Sr. Kathleen M. Scott L.S.A.

Kathleen is survived by her sister Mary S. Ruck and her husband Andrew J. Ruck. She is also survived by 2 nieces and 3 nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Kathleen’s family will receive condolence on Monday April 30, 2012 from 9:30am until her Funeral Mass 10:30am at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Ave., Chalfont.

Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.

In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Little Sisters of the Assumption, 100 Gladstone Avenue, Walden, NY 12586.

Laurence “Larry” H. Gelbach III

April 22nd, 2012

Laurence “Larry” H.Gelbach III, Senior Estimator for Miller and Son Paving for over 25 years, passed away peacefully at his home in Ambler on April 22, 2012 after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer.

Larry was the beloved husband of Georgette “Gana” M.Z. and dearest brother of Diane M. Hinderliter (Harry) and Ruth A. McDonald (Steve).

Relatives, friends and colleagues are invited to attend his viewing Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901 and to his Funeral Mass Friday 10:00am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Rd., Horsham.

Rite of Committal will follow at 2:00pm in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Summit Hill, PA.

Marie Goodwin (Reitz )

April 21st, 2012

Marie L. Goodwin of Langhorne died peacefully on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the age of 93.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late Thomas Goodwin and was the only child of the late Valentine and Lillian Smith Reitz.

Marie was a resident of the Brunswick at Attleboro for past 15 years, having formerly lived in Fairless Hills (Oxford Valley) for more than 50 years. She was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School, class of 1936. In 1997, she retired from The Cricket Box in Newtown, a gift shop that she co-founded. A woman of faith, she attended New Life Christian Church in Newtown.

Marie is survived by her daughters; Lois G Maguire, her husband Bill of Newtown, PA and Lorraine G. Begley of Ocean City, NJ and her five grandchildren Brittany Begley-Dennis (Scott) of Longview, WA, Janelle Begley (fiance John Loughney) of Philadelphia, PA, Lauren Begley of Bellevue, WA, Patrick Begley of Bellevue, WA, and Kevin Maguire of Philadelphia, PA, and two great grandsons, Thomas and Will Dennis and her cousin Elva Meyers of Langhorne, PA.

Marie will be dearly missed by her adoring family and friends, who would like to express their gratitude for the loving care shown to Marie at the Brunswick.
Marie’s family will receive condolence on Tuesday April 24, 2012 from 1:00pm until her Funeral Services 1:30pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, with Rev. Dr. Norman Leve officiating. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.

Louis W. Geiger

Louis W. Geiger, of Southampton, PA died on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Neshaminy Manor Home. He was 94.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Wilson and Johnetta Hoffman Geiger.

He is survived by his 4 sisters, Helen Geiger of Southampton, Florence Bauhof and her husband George of Doylestown, Evelyn Chester of Southampton, and Joan Meierdiercks and her husband, Walter, of Holland.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Addisville Reformed Church, 945 Second Street Pike, Richboro, PA 18954.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.

Sandra J. Keegan (Boorse)

Sandra J. Boorse Keegan of Southampton died peacefully on Friday, April 20, 2012 at her residence. She was 66.

Sandra was the beloved wife of 36 years to Gary W. Keegan.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Stoll Boorse.

Sandra was a lifelong resident of Bucks County. She was a graduate of William Tennent High School, class of 1964. She worked as an assembler for Fisher & Porter Company, and most recently for Scaletron Industries, LTD for over 10 years. Sandra was a faithful and dedicated member of the North and Southampton Reformed Church, where she was active with the Ruth Circle, Aid for Friends, and NGA. She dedicated her life as a volunteer in Girl Scouts of America for over 30 years. She was the former leader of Troop # 826 of Southampton.

In addition to her beloved husband Gary, Sandra is survived by her daughter Stacy C. Keegan of Philadelphia and her son Zachary A. Keegan and his wife Paulette of Wayne, PA. She is also survived by her brother Robert Boorse of New Britain and her cherished grandson Sebastian.

Sandra’s family will receive condolences on Saturday April 28, 2012 from 10 am until her Memorial Service 11 am at the North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Rd., Churchville PA 18966.

Raymond Delahanty

Raymond A. Delahanty, Jr. Lt. Col. U.S. Army (Ret.) of Yardley, PA died peacefully on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 83 years old.

Born in Boston, MA he was the son of the late Raymond A., Sr. and Loretta Gorman Delahanty.

Lt. Col. Raymond A. Delahanty has faithfully served his country during both war and peace time. He is a proud veteran of the Korean War and also the Vietnam conflict. Since his retirement from the Armed Forces, Ray always strived and succeeded in furthering his education. He was a loving father who worked tirelessly for many years as an Attorney for General Electric and Lockheed Martin.

He is survived by his beloved partner of many years Delcie, and by his 2 loving children; Claire Elizabeth Delahanty of Alexandria, VA and Michael R. Delahanty and his wife Dawn of Chesapeake Beach, MD, and his brother Paul Delahanty, and his sister Loretta Lussier Spatafore.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday Evening, April 27 from 6:00PM until his Funeral Service 7:30PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.

Interment with full Military Honors will be conducted July 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Arlington National Cemetery.

Mark Mark Andrew Slovich

Mark Andrew Slovich of Holland, PA died suddenly in a hiking accident on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in Utah. He was 22.

Born in Langhorne, PA, he was the beloved son of Richard M. and Marie T. Scanlin Slovich.

Mark was a resident of Holland for 20 years. He graduated from Council Rock South High School, Class of 2008. An avid outdoorsman, Mark joyfully hiked the Appalachian Trail. He joined the Conservation Corps, a division of AmeriCorps, and served for two years in Minnesota and Montana. Presently he was employed as a forest technician with the U.S. Forestry Service. He was an experienced hiker who sought out beautiful and serene spaces to play musical prayer from his Indian flute. He will be sadly missed as a loving son, brother, grandson and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Michael J. Slovich and his wife, Jessica, of Mohnton, PA, his two sisters, Katharine G. Slovich of Philadelphia, PA, Anna E. Slovich of Holland, PA, and his cherished girlfriend Emily Hayes of Duluth, MN. He was the maternal grandson of Helen Scanlin of Buckingham and John J. Scanlin of Tioga County, PA and paternal grandson of Rose R. Slovich of Erie, PA and the late Frank Slovich. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 26, 2012, from 10:00 am until his Funeral Mass 11:00 am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. Interment will be private.

Richard J. Mathie

Richard J. Mathie of Chalfont, PA died on Friday, April 13, 2012, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 58.

He was the husband of Cheryl A. Mathie for 13 years.

Born in Homestead, PA, he was the son of Anne Saloga Mathie of Houston, TX and the late Alexander Mathie.

Mr. Mathie was a resident of Chalfont for the past 20 years. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Class of 1975, with his bachelor degree in Mathematics. Richard was employed as a sales representative for K-Tube Corporation, a medical supplies company located in Poway, CA, for the past 8 years. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing, traveling, gardening and was an avid hockey fan. He will be sadly missed as a husband, father, son, and brother.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his two sons, LT. Cameron F. Mathie, U.S. Navy, who is presently stationed in Italy, Dillon F. Mathie of Brunswick, GA, his sister, Alexis Kuhnel and his niece, Sarah Logue, both of Houston, TX.

Services and interment will be held privately.
