David B. Fluri

August 11th, 2012

David B. Fluri, 63, a resident of Morrisville, passed away, together with his wife, Linda, on August 11th at Cooper Hospital in Camden NJ as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.

Dave was a teacher, first and foremost. He held Masters degrees in Education and Biology. He spent most of his 30 year career teaching in the Council Rock School District at Richboro Middle School and then 20 years at Council Rock High School. He was passionate about teaching and his students. He coached track and field and was an avid supporter of sports in the Council Rock community. He was also dedicated to nature and wildlife. He was active in the Autobahn Society and Sierra Club. He was an avid falconer who spent much of his free time studying birds of prey. He was also dedicated to fitness and could be frequently found pounding the treadmill and weights at Optimal Fitness in Newtown. In retirement, he become involved in real estate and spent the last 10 years as an Agent for ReMax Advantage in Yardley PA.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Joseph and Marion Fluri. He is survived in his immediate family by his brother Wayne Fluri of Holland; his niece Ashlee Fluri L’Heureux; his nephews Brett Fluri, Michael Fluri and Matthew Fluri as well as grand-nephews Shane and Jaden and grand-niece Ella Sophia. He is also survived by numerous relatives through his marriage to Linda Winkler Fluri.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend both, David and Lindalee’s viewings, Thursday, August 16th from 6:00-9:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and on Friday, August 17th from 10:00am until their Funeral Mass 12:00pm at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Yardley.

Interment for both David and Lindalee will follow at Newtown Cemetery in Newtown.

Jacqueline N. Gianni (Carlson)

August 8th, 2012

Jacqueline N. Carlson Gianni, of New Hope, PA died suddenly on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at her residence. She was 47.

She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Gianni for 25 years.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she is the loving daughter of Gloria Viola Carlson and the late Richard Carlson.

Jacqueline enjoyed sharing her love of animals with her family and friends. Caring for animals and especially for her many cats were one of her favorite things in life next to her family. She will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love her.

In addition to her loving husband Robert and her mother Gloria, Jacqueline is survived by her loving sister Suzanne Denning and her husband James of New Hope, PA, her brother-in-law James Gianni and his wife Maureen, her sister-in-law Gina Veisbergs and her husband Victor. She is also the loving aunt of Alexandra, Alyssa, Amanda, Nicholas, Christopher, Courtney, Matthew, and Michael.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing tomorrow Saturday, August 11 from12:00 PM until her Funeral Service 1:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr lll Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, Pa., 18954.

Kevin John McArdle

August 6th, 2012

Kevin John McArdle of Perkasie, PA passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Doylestown Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 53.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Kevin grew up in Buckingham; he was the beloved son of Edward P. Jr., and Ann Jane McArdle of Doylestown. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Klingsmith Vallejo and her husband Aldo of Gunnison, CO., and Katelyn Klingsmith of Denver, CO. Kevin is also survived by his 10 month old granddaughter Katelyn Vallejo. Kevin was the devoted brother of Edward McArdle, III of Kintnersville, Sean McArdle of Doylestown, Brian McArdle of Pipersville, Michael McArdle of Doylestown, Erin Adamow of Pipersville and Patrick McArdle of Arizona, along with their spouses.

Kevin was a graduate of Central Bucks East High School. He was a talented landscaper, stonemason, mechanic, and all around skilled workman. There was no outside project that he wouldn’t tackle and finish to perfection. Kevin’s happiest and proudest times where when he was spending quality time with his daughters.

Kevin’s family will receive condolences on Thursday August 9, from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Rd. Doylestown PA, 18902.

Interment will follow in Mechanicsville Cemetery, Mechanicsville.

Robert J. Morasco

August 6th, 2012

Robert J. Morasco of Doylestown died on Monday, August 6, 2012, at his residence. He was 32.

He was the beloved husband of Lynda A. Saponara.

Born in Norristown, PA, he was the son of Joanne Mascola Morasco of Hatfield and the late John L. Morasco.

Rob was a resident of Doylestown for the past 10 months. He was raised in Hatfield and formerly lived in Norristown for three years. He graduated from Penn State University, Class of 2002, with his degree in Electrical Engineering. Rob was employed by PJM Interconnection, located in Norristown, for the past 9 years. He loved nature and took an interest in all trees especially Bonsai trees. One of his pastimes was playing the drums. Rob was very family oriented and enjoyed the special times spent with his wife and family members. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle.

In addition to his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by his brother, John Morasco and his wife, Christine, of Churchville and his sister, Laura Soda and her husband, Eugene, of Lansdale. He is also survived by his two nieces, Sophia Soda and Kathleen Morasco.

His family will receive condolences on Friday, August 10, 2012, from 9:30 AM until his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

Interment will take place at Beulah Cemetery, New Britain.

Helen M. McCaffrey (Campbell)

August 5th, 2012

Helen M. Campbell McCaffrey of Newtown died peacefully August 5, 2012 at her home in Pennswood Village. She was 97.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife of the late James J. McCaffrey Jr., daughter of the late George and Edith Shanahan Campbell, Mother of the late Helene M. Hoffman and Patricia A. McGovern. She was predeceased by 4 dear grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and her brother Thomas E. Campbell.

Helen resided in South and Northeast Philadelphia before moving to Pennswood Village 8 years ago. She was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School. She was a former active and faithful communicant of St. Monica’s Church where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and the Women’s Sodality. Helen was a communicant of the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown.

Helen cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and looked forward to their visits. She will be deeply missed by her devoted family and many friends.

Helen is survived by her devoted children and their spouses; Rosemary P. Hardgrove and her husband James, Judith J. Walmsley and her husband James, James J. McCaffrey III and his wife Lisa, and her son-in-laws William Hoffman and Terence McGovern. Also surviving are her 18 loving grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Primwhere and Earl Cropp.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Christina Pallotta Piccione.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Primwhere and his wife, Ann, of Perkasie, her sister, Rita Rocchi of Warrington, her brother, Ezio Piccione of Ambler. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren; Carolyn Molloy, William Primwhere, Pamela Stolzer and 7 great grandchildren.

Frank B. Amandeo

Frank B. Amandeo of Ivyland died Thursday, August 2, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne surrounded by his loving family. He was 65.

Frank was the beloved husband of Joann M. (Paczynski) Amandeo.

Frank was the son of the late Carlo R. and Anna R. (Franchetti) Amandeo and grandfather of the late Sean William.

Frank was a resident of Ivyland since 1972. He had worked as a Linoleum Mechanic for various general contractors in the Delaware Valley. Frank was a member of the Carpenters Local #1823 and enjoyed in his leisure time fishing at Lake Nockamixon and at the New Jersey shore. He was an avid classic car restorer one of his projects being a full restoration of a 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle. Frank will be remembered as devoted family man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife Joann, he is survived by his dearest children, Frank C. Amandeo and his girlfriend Nicole of Lansdale, Teresa M. Baldridge and her husband Jim of Holland, Diane C. Coleman and her husband Peter of Macungie, PA and Joann Loftus of Ivyland. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Carlo Amandeo, Richard Amandeo and his wife Susan, Robert Amandeo and his wife Mary, Carmine Amandeo and his wife Linda, Natalie Hollish and her husband Joe, Cathy Green, Annie Steiffler and her husband Mike and Laurie Croxton and her husband Bill and his seven cherished grandchildren, James, Ashley, Tyler, Matthew, Olivia, Emma, Andrew.

Glaser (Edward), sister of the late Ralph F. Steen, Jr. also survived by 4 loving grandchildren: Ryan M., Lauren K., Casey L., and Colbi S.

Alma M. McGinty (Berry)

Alma M. (nee Berry) McGinty, of Holland (formerly of Buckingham Springs) died peacefully on Wednesday August 1, 2012. She was 91.

Alma was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late John P. McGinty, Sr. who died in May of this year. She was the devoted daughter of the late Patrick and Maryanne Cunane Berry, dear mother of John P. McGinty, Jr., Michael McGinty (Denise), James McGinty, Joseph McGinty (Joan), Rick McGinty (Betty), Eileen Pompe (Andy), Kathleen McGinty (Karl Hausker), Colleen Maguire (Tim), the late Francis McGinty (Molly), the late Maureen Marx (Francis J. IV), grandmother of the late Francis J. Marx V, sister of Sr. Mary Albert Berry, D.C., Vincent P. Berry (Jane Keating Berry) and the late Jack (Eileen Downing Berry) and Kevin Berry, loving grandmother of 24.

Born in Philadelphia and raised on East Chelten Avenue in Germantown, Alma developed her strong Catholic roots visiting the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception across the street. She is a 1939 graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School and would eagerly engage in the “H-A-double L-A-H-A-N” fight song! Alma and John raised their 10 children in Northeast Philadelphia, Resurrection of our Lord Parish. Upon retirement, they spent ten great years in Buckingham Springs, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish before spending their final years in the loving care at Twining Village in Holland.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Alma’s viewing Monday August 13, from 9:00 am until her Funeral Mass 10:30am at St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland.
