Jeanne F. Lambert (Graham)

September 23rd, 2018

Jeanne F. Lambert of Richboro passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Twining Village surrounded by her loving family. She was 85.

Jeanne was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late Thomas F. Lambert.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Higgins Graham, mother of the late Thomas Andrew Lambert and sister of the late Jack Graham, Charles Graham, Alice Barron and Margaret Dorr.

Jeanne was a former resident of Broomall and Richboro before recently moving to Twining Manor in Holland. As a child, she lived in the Oxford Circle community of Philadelphia and graduated from Little Flower High School. Jeanne had worked in her earlier years as a secretary with Marple Newtown School District as well as Bryn Mawr College.

Jeanne was a faithful communicant for over 40 years at St. Anastasia Parish in Newtown Square, then for 16 years at St. Vincent de Paul in Richboro as well as Saint Andrew in Newtown. In her later years she became an associate of the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart and enjoyed the friendships and faith community she found there.

Jeanne never missed an opportunity to be present at any of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities especially their sporting events, concerts and plays. Her love for her family was evident to all who met her. She will be truly missed by her family and by all who came to know her.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Charles J. Lambert and his wife Martha of Doylestown, Timothy J. Lambert and his wife Geralyn of Downingtown and Elizabeth L. Tolkach and her husband Stephen of Newtown. She is also survived by her 10 cherished grandchildren, Leighann, Andrew, Victoria, Charles, Alaina, Anastasia, Timothy, Alexandra, Jennifer and Margaret and her brother and sisters; Joseph Graham of Philadelphia, Cathy Macaulay of Holland, Mary Duplinsky of Holland and Patricia Chapman of Doylestown.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, September 26th from 5:30-8:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and on Thursday, September 27th from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00am in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940.  Jeanne’s interment will be private.

John J. Lordan

September 23rd, 2018

John J. Lordan, 60, of Perkasie, PA, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John J. Lordan, Sr. and Mary Lemon. He was the husband of Julie M. (Lewis) Lordan, they celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary this past April.

John graduated from William Tennent High School in 1976 and built a career as a skilled CNC machinist and programmer. He worked tirelessly to provide his family with a life of happiness, security, and comfort. His greatest joy in life was being in the company of family and friends. He had a passion for fishing, biking, kayaking, and new adventures with his grandchildren.

Throughout his years, John lived a life of principle and conviction. He was a role model for his children and grandchildren, demonstrating the values he held dear: devotion to family, selfless diligence, and remarkable bravery during his brief, but valiant fight with pancreatic cancer.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Clinton and his wife, Amy, of Lewes, DE; Daniel and his wife, Regina, of Yardley, PA; and Katherine Hildenbrandt and her husband, Tyler, of Center Valley, PA. He also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel, Dominic, Genevieve and Julianna Lordan; and his siblings, Kathleen Lordan; Michael Lordan and his wife, Constance; and Eileen Clee and her husband, Peter.

Christine M. Ball

September 23rd, 2018

Christine M. Ball passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Southampton Estates following a lengthy illness. She was 98.

She was the beloved wife of 49 years to the late Edward E. Ball, Jr.

Born and raised in West Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian Junker Eisele, and sister of the late Anna Ball.

Christine lived in Northeast Philadelphia most of her life until moving to Southampton Estates 13 years ago.

She is survived by her two children; Edward R. Ball, Sr. and his wife Jenifer and Ronald F. Ball and his wife Diane.  She is also survived by her four loving grandchildren; Edward R. Ball, Jr. (Lisa), Michael T. Ball (Jennifer), Rhiannon Harrington (Shawn) and Kirsten McFague (Ryan) and her 5 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 9:00am until her Funeral Service 10:30am with Pastor Owen Griffiths officiating at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home 800 Newtown Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd) Richboro, PA 18954.  Her interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.

Florence Sharkey (Roach)

September 20th, 2018

Florence Agnes Sharkey passed away on September 20, 2018 and was originally of Philadelphia and currently Long Beach Island, NJ. 

She was the beloved wife of late John J. Sharkey for 70 years.

Florence was the loving mother of Carole A. (nee Sharkey) Cappo and the loving grandmother of Jamie C. Boudman and her husband Edward and Dennis J. Cappo and his wife Marissa. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren Mackenzie, Connor, Jack, Riley, and Mark and her many nieces and nephews.

Born in Philadelphia, Florence was the daughter of the late Richard and Esther Murtha Roach and the mother-in-law of the late Dennis J. Cappo.

Florence worked 40 years for GlaxoSmithKline until her retirement. She then enjoyed splitting her time between Oldsmar, FL in the winter and Long Beach Island, NJ in the summer. She lived life to the fullest and never allowed her physical challenges to get in the way. Whether you addressed her as Mom, Nan, Aunt Floss or Aunt Sissy, Florence will be deeply missed by all who came to know her.   

She was extremely devoted to St. Jude and her Catholic faith. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00 am until her Funeral Mass 11:00 am on Thursday, September 27th in St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914. Florence’s interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.

Lucille Piotrowski (Ferrante)

Lucille “Lucy” M. Piotrowski passed away peacefully at the Rose Garden at Ann’s Choice on Thursday, September 20, 2018. She was 90.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife to the late J. Alfred Piotrowski, and daughter to the late Vincent and Mary (Riccardi) Ferrante.

Lucy is survived by her loving children; John Piotrowski (Joan), Rita DiCarne (Charles), Matthew Piotrowski (Nancy), and Constance Eriksson (Michael Kula), as well as her 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and her brother Louis Ferrante.

Patricia Leppert

September 19th, 2018

Patricia “Pat” Betty Sachs Leppert of Northampton Township died on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, after a long struggle with the debilitating disease, ALS.

She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Leppert for 41 years.  Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Doris and Frederick Stone.

Mrs. Leppert was a resident of Richboro/Ivyland for the last 45 years.  She was a 1960 graduate of Mastbaum Technical High School in Philadelphia.  She worked for Anthony L Loscalzo, Attorney at Law until she retired.   Pat has been a devoted member of Addisville Reformed Church since moving into the neighborhood.  Among her favorite pastimes, Pat enjoyed the beach, reading, shopping and mostly enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and girlfriend who loved being with people.

Pat is survived by her children and their spouses, Jeffrey W. and Kathleen Leppert of West Chester and Jennifer F. and Raymond Tanner, III of Jamison.  Also survived by her grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca, Emma and Addison.  Pat’s eldest son David F. Leppert preceded her in death.

Joseph F. Moore

September 18th, 2018

Joseph F. Moore, Sr. of Warminster, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne.  He was 76.

Joe was preceded in death by his fiancé Elizabeth H. Costanzo.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Anthony Moore and Angelina Abruscato D’Orazio (Angelo).

Joe graduated from North Catholic High School and went on to begin his career with Richardson-Vicks, which later became Proctor & Gamble, where he worked more than 30 years until his retirement.

He was quite gregarious and loved to laugh and have a good time. His magnetic personality, natural charisma, and generosity made him a friend to everyone – he was the kind of man who would give you his last dime if you needed it. He took pride in caring for those he loved, most especially his beloved Liz. Joe was an avid football fan and enjoyed horse racing.  He was also talented in the kitchen, having prepared countless batches of gravy and meatballs over the years,which were always appreciated by family and friends. In the true Italian tradition, one of his most frequent phrases was, “Did you get enough to eat?”

Joe loved to have fun and crack jokes; even through some difficult medical setbacks in recent years, he still managed to charm his doctors and nurses and he quickly became one of their favorite patients. His positive spirit and gentle nature will be missed by the many whose lives he touched.

Surviving are Joe’s children, Joseph F. Moore, Jr. (Troy Gremillion) of Houston, TX and Michelle Knight of Warminster.  He was the adoring “Pappy” to his granddaughter, Christina Knight, and he also leaves behind his brother, Frank Moore (Mary Ann) of Hatboro; and his nieces, Dawn Yanni (Kenny) and Heather Fagan (Jack); and his Fiance` Elizabeth's family.  

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 9:00 AM until his Funeral Mass 10:00  AM at the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 S. Sycamore St., Newtown, PA 18940.  His interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.

Patricia Ann Simon

September 17th, 2018

Patricia (Patti) Ann Simon passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home in Holland. She was 66.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter to Ann Egizi Simon and the late Howard C. Simon Jr.

Patti was a kind-hearted and caring soul. She had an amazing talent for cooking and baking, her home cooked meals and sweet treats were made with lots of love and they always brought the family together. Patti loved animals and always had a faithful canine companion by her side. She will be missed dearly by her current dog, Missy aka “Twitch.” She had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed cracking jokes. Patti loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed tending to her garden and flowerbeds. She enjoyed summer nights sitting around the backyard fire-pit sharing laughs with friends and family. Her favorite time of year was winter and she would light up during the Christmas season. She was one of the few that hoped for snow and was often heard saying “think feet not inches.” She was proud of her country and her father being a veteran so she enjoyed displaying her red, white, and blue. Above all, she was selfless and loved her family and friends more than anything.

Patricia is survived by her loving children; Amy Thierry and Casey Thierry and his wife Samantha, as well as her beloved granddaughter Charlotte. She is also survived by her sister Betsy Simon.

Donald Leist, Jr.

September 17th, 2018

Donald Leist, Jr., longtime resident of Washington Crossing, died at his home on Monday, September 17, 2018.  He was 87.

Born in Washington Township, Ohio, Donald was the son of the late Donald A. and Pauline Winn Leist.

Donald proudly served in the US Navy Air Squadron.  He was stationed in Patuxent River, MD, and the Philadelphia Naval Yard.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, and had a keen interest in history.  Tracing his family genealogy was one of his favorite pastimes.  Donald spent many hours volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America with his sons as they were growing up. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and attended the 1960 Eagles Championship game.

Donald worked for State Farm Insurance as an Agency owner for 38 years. He especially enjoyed traveling, square dancing, and spending time with his family.

Donald was a loving and devoted husband for 63 years to Josephine Ann Shirley Leist. He will be sadly missed by his sons and daughters-in-law, Donald A. and Sandra Leist, Stephen and Patricia Leist, and Michael Leist.  He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Eric (Rachel) Leist, Amy Leist, Julianne Leist and Jolene Leist.  His siblings, Gerald Leist, Marilyn Crosby, and Arlene (Bob) Minshall also survive him.  He was preceded in death by his brother, David Leist.

Donald will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. His funeral service and interment will be held privately.

Dolores Ann Braun (Fitzsimmons)

Dolores Ann Braun (nee Fitzsimmons), of Jamison, died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018. She was 80 years old.

Dolores was the loving wife of the late Donald R. Braun, Sr. The couple was married for 58 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Dolores was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Gallagher Fitzsimmons, sister of the late Patrick Fitzsimmons and sister-in-law of the late Theresa Fitzsimmons, and Mary Jane Fitzsimmons.

Dolores was the matriarch of the Braun Family who raised seven children and helped to nurture her 19 grandchildren and great grand daughter.  She was a Realtor for Prudential Fox and Roach for many years and she was a devoted volunteer at her church with Aid for Friends and other outreach groups.  Dolores had an incredible sense of humor and an infectious laugh.  She cherished and loved all the days she spent with her family in her home, their homes and especially those shore days in Ocean City, NJ.  Dolores will be eternally loved by everyone who has had the pleasure to have been in her life and loved by her.

Dolores will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses, Donald Braun Jr. (Jeanne), Mary Ann Braun, John Braun (Susan), Bernadette Braun (Tom Biemer), Robert Braun (Susan), Tracy O’Leary (Dennis Jr.), and Joseph Braun (Kristin).

She is the proud grandmother of Lauren Sager (Dan), Caley, Jack, and Maddie Braun; Christina, Michael and Joseph Ambrose; John Patrick and Megan Braun; Harry and Jack Biemer; Daniel, Ryan and Katie Braun; Aidenn, Joseph and Mackenzie O’Leary; and Shea and Aubrynne Braun; great grandmother of Caroline Patricia Sager; sister of Robert and Maureen Fitzsimmons, and John Fitzsimmons; and sister-in-law of Therese Fitzsimmons.

Dolores’s family will receive friends on Thursday Eve. from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954; and at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road Newtown, PA 18940 on Friday, from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
