Francis (Frank) J. Nosek

August 21st, 2013

Francis (Frank) J. Nosek, of Holland, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.

Born in Elmhurst, NY, he was the son of the late Anna and John Nosek, and the beloved husband of the late Irene H. Kedzierski Nosek, father of the late Susan M. Nosek and Mary Ann Nosek and brother of the late Joseph Nosek, Stanley Nosek and Mary Nosek Tumil.

Frank is survived by his children: Deborah L. Liebesman, and her husband Jeff, Irene M. Picano and her husband Doug, and Christine M. Mulder and her husband David. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and sister Ann Nosek Regiec.

Frank and his wife lived in Syosset, NY for over 50 years where they raised their four daughters.

Frank and Irene were among the founding members of the St. Edward the Confessor parish, where they were active members until they moved to Pennsylvania in 2006. Frank was also a proud employee of Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage for many years from which he ultimately retired.

Relative and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday at 9:45 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 205 Jackson Avenue, Syosset, NY 11791.

Interment will follow in Long Island National Cemetery.

Joan Reilly (Norton)

August 21st, 2013

Joan T. Reilly, of North Wales, PA died on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at home surrounded by her family. She was 64.

She was the beloved wife of 43 years to John J. Reilly III.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Julia Killeen Norton.

Joan grew up in Philadelphia, and was a 1966 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High. She was a distinguished member of the Cardinal Dougherty drill team that was invited to England to perform for the Queen. Among her hobbies and interests were photography, videography, sewing, embroidery and arts and crafts. She enjoyed lighthouses and anything blue.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children John J. Reilly IV and his wife Colleen of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Christie Jordan and her husband Jeffrey of Warrington, Kimberly Carter and her husband Daniel of East Windsor, NJ, and Carrie Lynn Morse and her husband Scott of Oaklyn, NJ, her sister Judith Gallagher and her husband Edward of North Wales and her brothers Walter Norton and his wife Margaret of Philadelphia and Daniel Norton and his wife Lou Ann of Phoenixville. She is also survived by her father in law John J. Reilly Jr. of North Wales, and her 8 loving grandchildren: Brandan, Elise, Matt, Abby, John V, Aidan, Harrison and Ana. She was pre deceased by her mother in law Evelyn June Reilly.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 10:00am until her Funeral Service 12:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. Her interment will be held privately.

Philomena T. Roth (Rossi )

August 21st, 2013

Philomena T. Rossi Roth formerly of Philadelphia and Southampton died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington. She was 86.

She was the beloved wife of the late William T. Roth.

Philomena was born in Philadelphia and was the daughter of the late Christopher and Elizabeth DiPentino Rossi and sister of the late Vincent Rossi.

Philomena was a resident of Southampton for 10 years before moving to Neshaminy Manor in 2008. She retired from Nazareth Hospital as a Purchasing Agent after 20 years of service. Philomena was a former member of the Senior Citizen’s Club at Our Lady of Good Counsel.

She was an outgoing, social person and loved to dance.

Philomena’s focus in life was her family. She enjoyed raising her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook, and kept to the Italian tradition of showing love with food with her large homecooked meals.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses; Fred F. Sklodowski and Maureen, Daniel W. Sklodowski and Patricia, and Lisa A. Grindrod and Gerry. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren: Patrick, Heather, Morgan, Alyssa, Lindsay, Christian, Daniel and Sean, and 5 great grandchildren.

Philomena’s family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2013, from 9:30AM until her Funeral Service at 10:30AM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland RD), Richboro, PA 18954.

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA.

Elizabeth F. Devine (Verzicco)

Elizabeth F. Devine of Warrington, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 75.

She was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Devine Sr.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas A. and Mildred Seeger Verzicco, mother of the late Bernard Devine Jr. and Nicholas Devine, sister of the late Elaine Grady, Diane Verzicco and Richard Verzicco and grandmother of the late Meaghan and Joshua Devine.

Mrs. Devine was a resident of Warrington for the past two years and formerly lived in Buckingham. Throughout the years she had been employed as an assembly worker at various manufacturing companies. She was a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge # 2271 in Warrington. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading and playing bingo. Her family was first and foremost in her life. She always enjoyed the special times spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her three children, Joseph Devine and his wife, Denise, of Lewes, DE, Donna Jesse and her husband, Robert, of Warrington, Kevin Devine and his wife, Sheila, of Baltimore, MD, her six sisters, Carol Campbell and her husband Tom, Shirley Cappella, Joanne Gleason and her husband William, Barbara Jean Clark, Mary DelBuono and her husband Samuel, Linda Emore and her husband Kevin, and her brother, Nicholas Verzicco and his wife Maryanne. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, August 23, 2013, from 9:30 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Avenue, Warrington, PA 18976.

Interment will take place at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Gusztav “Gus” Moritz

August 18th, 2013

Gusztav “Gus” Moritz of Holland passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday August 18, 2013 in Abington Hospice at Warminster. He was 76.

He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Madeline De Cicco Moritz

Born in Hungary, he was a son of the late Ernest and Rosa Kontrai Moritz.

Mr. Moritz emigrated from Hungary with his family in 1957. He worked for roughly four decades as a tool and die maker for various companies before retiring in 1999. Gus was a 50 year member of the Vereinigung Erzgebirge Soccer Club (VE Club) in Warminster where he has enjoyed competing in soccer games both on the field as a player and for many years on the sidelines as a Coach. Gus was inducted into the South Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of Fame in 2009 for his many years of devotion, athleticism, and mentorship to the sport. He also was an avid bowler who has bowled many near perfect games throughout his time. Above all, Gus enjoyed spending time and creating everlasting memories with his beloved wife and daughters.

In addition to his wife Madeline, Gus is survived by his 2 loving daughters; Jeanine Moritz of Doylestown and Diane Gerace and her husband Scott of Holland and also his brother George Moritz and his wife Krista of Pitman, New Jersey.

Gus’ family will receive friends on Friday, August 23th from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 10:30am in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966.

Interment will be private.

Ingrid C. LaCross (Scheele)

Ingrid C. Scheele LaCross died peacefully on August 18, 2013 at Buckingham Valley Health Care, Buckingham. She was 72.

Born in Berlin Germany, Ingrid immigrated to the United States in 1965.

Ingrid was a professional hairdresser when she first came to the United States. Ingrid was very ambitious and worked for over 30 years at Lower Bucks County Hospital in their dietary department working her way up to a registered dietitian.

Ingrid looked forward to family gatherings, especially when she could show case her cooking which was loved by all. Many happy times where at the Jersey shore with family and friends. In her spare time, Ingrid enjoyed being creative with many decorating ideas in her home.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.

Ingrid is survived by her 3 children; Sandy Horton and her husband Michael of Levittown, Jackie M. Stein and her husband Mark of Warrington and Kevin LaCross of Philadelphia and will be missed dearly by her special grandchildren; Sean Horton, Amber, Austin and Jason Stein.

Ingrid’s family will receive condolences on Monday evening August 26, from 6:00pm until her Prayer Service and Words of Remembrance at 7:30pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd.(at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will be private.

Timothy Stevens

August 17th, 2013

Timothy H. Stevens, of Doylestown, PA, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 17th at his residence. He was 39.

He was the beloved husband, companion and best friend of 16 years to Tara Kugler Stevens.

Born in Meadowbrook, PA he was the loving son of Jean Louise Haack Stevens and the late William Harris Stevens III.

Tim was a talented drummer, and along with his best friend Evan Walton, formed the band Wineskin over 20 years ago. Over the years Wineskin has performed in countless local venues, as well as venues in Philadelphia, New York and all along the East Cost. Wineskin had an enormous following of faithful fans and friends. Tim had a wide, loving and supportive group of friends he adored, who he referred to as "mi familia". Tim was also very accomplished at woodworking, a skill he learned from his grandfather at a young age. Tim was passionate about all forms of music, Philadelphia sports teams, and gardening, but above all was his love for his family, most especially his wife and children.

In addition to his wife and mother, Tim is survived by his beloved children Sage T. and Faith V. Stevens, his sisters Julia L. Davis (John) and Jessica J. Darling (Timothy), and his nieces Catherine L. and Grace L. Davis, and Samantha J. Darling.

Tim’s family will receive friends on Friday, August 23, from 9:00am until his Funeral Service 11:00 am in Doylestown Presbyterian Church, 127 East Court Street Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will follow at Doylestown Cemetery.

Rita Sifer (Foy)

Rita Marie Foy Sifer of Langhorne died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, August 16th, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. She was 77.

She was the beloved wife of William H. Sifer for 57 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Rita T. Moore Foy, sister of the late Joseph Foy and devoted grandmother of the late Colin.

Rita Marie was a graduate of Little Flower High School, class of 1952. After graduating Rita worked in the banking profession before starting her career with the Internal Revenue Service, in Northeast Philadelphia where she had 40 years of distinguished service, retiring in 2005 as a Supervising Manager and Instructor in the Adjustments Department. During her career, Rita earned several awards and bonuses, and was highly regarded for her leadership and friendliness as a manager. Rita’s talents went well beyond banking and auditing, her dramatic and creative directing skills supported Little Flower and the CYO at Holy Innocents Church where she wrote, directed, and starred in many musical reviews. Later she brought these skills to her active participation in Toastmasters.

She was a faithful communicant of Assumption BVM Church, Feasterville, for 42 years, and a member of the Neshaminy Swim Club and B&R Health Club, where she had many friends. Family was most important to Rita; her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren made her eyes sparkle. Rita and her husband enjoyed traveling, listening to music, movies, sports, dining out, and time together in retirement at their home with their family and friends. Rita herself loved dancing, Irish music, and Ireland. She will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted family and her many friends.

In addition to her beloved husband William, Rita is survived by her devoted children; William J. Sifer and his wife Marianne, Kathleen M. Sifer, Daniel P. Sifer and his wife Doris, Joseph F. Sifer and Patrick W. Sifer and his wife Renee. She is also survived by a sister and brother; Kathleen T. Foy and Michael J. Foy and his wife Gail. Also surviving are her 4 dear grandchildren; Nicholas, Daniel, Ashley and Alyssa and 3 beautiful great grandchildren; Shailen, Kieren and Rohen.

Relative and friends are invited to attend her viewings on Tuesday evening August 20, from 6:30 pm to 8:30PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Jennifer Budd

Jennifer Lee Budd, age 30, of Philadelphia, PA died on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Albert Einstein Medical Center, after a courageous battle following surgery for a brain tumor.

Born in Sellersville, she was the beloved daughter of Donna Loux Budd and her fiancé James Rogers of Telford and the late Jeffery Budd.

Jennifer lived on the East Coast from Pennsylvania to Florida. She graduated from Buxmont Academy in Lansdale in 2001. For the past 8 years Jennifer worked for Home Depot as a supervisor and on the Merchandising Execution Team.

However, Jenn was more than her work, she was adventurous and outgoing. She loved music and traveling and it didn’t matter if it was to Mexico or the Jersey Shore. There was also the quiet side of her that liked to read a good crime novel or pick up a cook book and try a new recipe that she could share with her friends and family.

In addition to her mother and stepfather, Jenn is also survived by her stepmother Lillian Budd of Warminster, her 2 brothers Jeremy Budd of Philadelphia, and Daniel Budd of Warminster, her boyfriend Demetrius Dessus of Philadelphia, her maternal-grandmother Cora Loux of Doylestown, and her paternal-grandparents, John and Mary Budd of Kintnersville. She was predeceased by her maternal-grandfather Edward Loux.
