Doris Mildred Kitson (Atkinson)

May 12th, 2014

Doris Mildred Atkinson Kitson of Goffstown, NH and formerly of Henderson, NC and Warminster, PA passed away Monday, May 12th following a brief illness at Elliot Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Robert Kitson.

Born on February 8, 1925 in Philadelphia Doris was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Katherine Doyle Atkinson

Doris spent the majority of her life in Warminster, PA and Henderson, NC until 2004 when she moved to Goffstown, NH to live with her daughter Elaine. During her life Doris loved to cook for her family and friends, she also had a deep faith and later in life she enjoyed watching mass on tv everyday.

She is survived by her three children Elaine (Kitson) Morgan of Goffstown, NH, Charles Ray Kitson and his wife Charline of Wayne, PA and Robert Charles Kitson and his wife Kathryne of Powhatan, VA. Three siblings, Benjamin Franklin Atkinson, Mary (Atkinson) Starzel and Robert Atkinson. Brother in Law Raymond H. Kitson, Grandchildren Melissa and Jon Aaron, Great Grandchildren Alexander, Jackson, Addison and Emilie and many Nieces and Nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Sunday, May 18th from 6:00pm until her Funeral Service at 8:00PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.

Beverly V. Appenzeller (Mrozek)

May 11th, 2014

Beverly V. Appenzeller of New Britain died on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Abington Hospice, Warminster. She was 75.

She was the beloved wife of the late James L. Appenzeller.

Born in Chicago, IL she was the daughter of the late Walter and Edythe Mayo Mrozek and sister of the late Sandy and Walter.

She is survived by her daughters; Lori V. Piatanesi and the late Reno of California, Jami L. Appenzeller of Southampton, a sister Dorothy and the proud grandmother of; Derek James Exner, Darion Jordan Griggs and Savannah Love Yancey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 9:30am until her Funeral Service 10:30am at the Davisville Church, 325 Street Road, Southampton, PA 18966.

Her interment will follow in Beulah Cemetery in New Britain.

Dennis Ernest Orlando

Dennis Ernest Orlando of Churchville, an award winning artist, an innovative pioneer in digital fine art, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2014, surrounded by his family at his home. He was 58.

He was the beloved husband of Marie McDonough Orlando for 32 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Theresa Giaccio Orlando and the late Fiorentino Orlando.

Dennis was a resident of Churchville for the past 13 years and formerly lived in Ivyland, PA.

Dennis was trained as both a fine artist and commercial graphic designer. Dennis was responsible for setting up one of the East Coast’s first digital design studios.
Considered by many in the international art establishment to be a Master of Contemporary Fine Art, his paintings have been exhibited in museums, galleries, online and published in over thirty books and dozens of magazines. He enjoyed experimenting by combining both his traditional and digital tools in creating his inspirational original art.

In addition to his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by his three children, Thomas, Lisa Marie, and Ryan Orlando. He is also survived by his two brothers, Tony Orlando and his wife, Cindy, Greg Orlando and his wife, Cheryl, and his sister, Deborah Orlando.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, May 16, 2014, from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM and to the Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Davisville Church, 325 Street Road, Southampton, PA 18966.

Interment will take place at Union Cemetery, Richboro.

James T. Curran

May 10th, 2014

James T. Curran of Quakertown passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at his residence. He was 68.

He was the beloved husband of Dianna C. Campbell Curran for 26 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Mildred Miller Egner and brother of the late Millie Richardson.

Mr. Curran was a resident of Quakertown for the past 13 years and formerly lived in Willow Grove. He graduated from Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia. Jim was an Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Thirty years ago, Jim started his own business, Curran Insurance, a Nationwide Insurance Company, which is located in Hatboro. He was a quiet man with a generous nature and natural instinct to help those in need. In his leisure time, he was an avid reader and history was one of his favorite subjects. Being family oriented, he enjoyed the special times spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Kelly A. Lotsis and her husband, Kevin, of Perkasie, Brandi L. McLaughlin and her husband, Tom, of Philadelphia, his brother, William Egner of Lansdale, and two sisters, Ann Marie Fain of Orange, CA and Alice Wright of Hatfield. He is also survived by his five loving grandchildren; Kyle, Luke, Curran, Annie and Sayer.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, May 15, 2014, from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901.

Interment will take place at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown.

Jean Kane (Mizzer)

May 10th, 2014

Jean Mizzer Kane of North Wales and formerly a long time resident of Jeffersonville and Blue Bell, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 10, 2014 at her home. She was 78.

Jean was the beloved wife of Andrew I. Kane.

Born in Pottsville, PA she was a daughter of the late August and Blanche Bubeck Mizzer and sister of the late Sonia James.

Jean was a graduate of Minersville High School and went on to study nursing at Chestnut Hill Hospital. She spent her career working for the former Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown.

Jean absolutely loved travelling and did so extensively. She also greatly enjoyed time spent at her second home in Avalon, NJ. Above all else, Jean treasured her family. She will be remembered for her adoring love of her grandchildren and the delicious family dinners she would prepare to gather everyone together. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by her daughters, Susan K. Taormina and her husband, Anthony of Blue Bell and Patricia A. Martin and her husband, Glenn of Horsham; her brother, Craig Mizzer and his wife, Cathy of North Carolina; and her grandchildren, Katey, Matthew, and P.J. Taormina and Andrew and Douglas Martin.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 9:30 AM until her funeral mass 10:30 AM on Friday May 16, 2014 at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA 19454.

Interment will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

Lennard Khaldey of Philadelphia passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2014.

He was the beloved husband of Valeriya Korotkova.

Born in Russia, Lennard was a son of the late Isiaslav Khaldey and Rosa Ovchinikova.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Vladislav and Karina Khaldey and his sister Natasha Mironova.

Lennard will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him.

Josephine G. Roberts (Gurriel)

Josephine G. Roberts of Langhorne passed away peacefully on Friday May 9, 2014. She was 90. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Roberts.

Born in Washington, PA she was a daughter of the late Steve and Mary Saniga Gurriel.

Josephine was a long time member of St. Andrew’s parish, along with her husband. She enjoyed travelling to many different destinations camping trips with her daughter and casino trips to Atlantic City. She also participated in a local Pokeno card playing group that met once a month to play together. She loved to cook, shop, and most importantly she treasured time spent with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Josephine is survived by her children, Mary Allan Van Aken of Hockessin, DE, Josephine Roberts of Ringoes, NJ, George L. Roberts (Mary Ann) of Orwigsburg, PA and Elizabeth Blinn (Richard), of Levittown, PA. She also leaves behind her siblings, Caroline Madliak and Andrew Gurriel; 17 adoring grandchildren; and19 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters the late Pauline Robinson, Mildred Kelly, and Suzanne Sanetrik, and her brothers, Louis, Nicholas, and William Gurriel.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00 AM until her funeral mass 11:00 AM on Friday May 16, 2014 at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.

Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.

Barbara “Bobi” A. Yaeger

Barbara “Bobi” A. Yaeger of Newtown died Thursday May 8, 2014 at her residence. She was 57.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the George A. Yaeger, Sr. of Philadelphia and the late Patricia Barker Wadlinger.

Bobi was raised in Philadelphia and Lower Bucks County. She was a Director of Student Services at Lincoln Technical Institute in Philadelphia and was a former member of the Trilogy Professional Dance Company in Florida. Bobi touched the lives of many people with her smile, outgoing personality and spirit.

Bobi is survived by her daughter Jaclyn McCann of Doylestown and her sisters and brothers, George A. Yaeger, Jr. (Patricia), Michael Yaeger (Susanne), Edward Yaeger (Renee), Patricia Yaeger (Ron Bristow), Frank Yaeger, and Jacqueline Rock (Don Myers). She is also survived by her 14 nieces and nephews.

Gertrude R. Mueller (Marshall)

May 7th, 2014

Gertrude R. Marshall Mueller of Langhorne died peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown with her devoted family by her side. She was 87.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife of 67 years to Frederick P. Mueller, Jr., daughter of the late John and Roberta Clarke Marshall and mother of the late Gary E. Mueller and mother-in-law of the late Raymond R. Wood; she was preceded in death by her six brothers and sisters.

Gertrude was a long time resident of Richboro before moving to Langhorne in 2009. She was a charter member of Advent Lutheran Church, Richboro. Gertrude was a Luther League assistant leader for many years. A lady of many talents, she loved tending to her rose bushes, collecting Hummel’s, listening to the Phillies and playing cards with her friends in the Slipper Club.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her daughters, Shirley Wood and Donna Boruta and her husband, Mark. She is also survived by her brother, William Marshall, and her 5 dear grandchildren; Kristopher Wood (Stephanie), Erica, Tara and Susan Wood , Thomas Mueller (Rachel), 2 great grandchildren and soon to be 2 more great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
