Cecelia (Rydzewski) Recklau, a long-time resident of Feasterville, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, March 23, 2015. She was 94 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, Cecelia grew up in the Port Richmond section of the city, the daughter of Polish immigrants, Felix Rydzewski and Rosalia Bruderek Rydzewski, who had emigrated to this country through Ellis Island at the beginning of the twentieth century. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Karl Recklau, and her first-born son, Carl Recklau, as well as by her parents, her three sisters, Helen, Veronica and Theresa and her four brothers, Bruno, Joseph, Francis and Chester.

Cecelia was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who possessed a great sense of humor, an incredible work ethic and a strong sense of independence. She was a youngster during the Great Depression and learned well the lessons of frugality that came from that experience. She worked side-by-side with her husband, Karl, to build with their own labor the house in Feasterville that they lived in for over fifty years and she continued to cut the lawn, shovel the snow, trim the bushes, paint the house and garden even after Karl had passed away and well into her eighties.

She enjoyed travel with her husband and with other family members and traveled extensively, visiting most states in the United States, as well as countries in Europe and the Caribbean. She most cherished, however, family trips to Stone Harbor, Virginia and Pittsburgh and holiday dinners where her family were gathered. In addition, she was an inveterate, but cautious, gambler and loved trips to the Atlantic City casinos where she would play the nickel slots, then enjoy walking on the boardwalk. She always kept busy, either with cooking, baking, needlework at home, or playing card games and bingo at the Neshaminy Senior Center. Her crocheted afghans were prized as gifts to family members. But most of all, she loved visiting with and playing with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind to forever mourn her passing a daughter, Cecelia Mowday and son-in-law, Daniel Mowday, of Churchville, a son, Paul Recklau (Maureen) of Woodbridge, VA and a son, Richard Recklau (Mary) of Holland. In addition, she will be sorely missed by her ten grandchildren: Jennifer McEnroe (Ryan) of Pittsburgh, Alison Klein (Timothy) of Ambler, Myles Gibbons (Bonnie) of Roslyn, Justin Recklau, Stephanie Recklau, Richard Recklau, Laura Recklau, Jessica Recklau, Angie Recklau and Jean Recklau, as well as her six great-grandchildren: Sarah and Katherine McEnroe, Chase and Maxwell Klein and Aeryn and Connor Gibbons.

Funeral Mass and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Jens Larry Simonsen, of Philadelphia, died on Monday, March 23, 2015, at Gloria Dei Farms. He was 83.

He was the beloved husband of the late Audrey Crowers.

Born in Ogden, Utah he was the son of the late Jens Lang and Ione Russell Simonsen and brother of the late Russell Simonsen.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many positions which included Branch President, Melchizedek Priesthood holder and teacher. He proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Ross from 1951 to 1955.

He is survived by his children Leslie Fischer and her husband Ed, Jens Larry Simonsen Jr. and his wife Jane, Dale Simonsen and his wife Sharon, Keith Simonsen and his wife Andrea, his brothers Dennis and, Charlie Simonsen, his sisters, Karlene Tingey, Jarene Burbank, and Pat Leavitt. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and his 1 great-grandson.

New Britain and on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 8:30 am until his Funeral Service at 10:00 am in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2072 Red Lion Rd., Philadelphia. His interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

John J. Sibel of Fountainville, died on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown. He was 73.

Born in Philadelphia, John was the beloved husband of Carol L. Mohr for the past 52 years. He was the son of the late John W. and Sarah R. McNally Sibel and brother of the late James J. Sibel, Sr.

John was a graduate of Neshaminy High School, class of 1961. He worked as a Police Officer for Northampton Township Police Department, Bucks County, he was the founder of Northampton Auto body in Richboro. He was the owner of the Rendezvous restaurant in Milton, PA. In 1976 he became the owner of Churchville Auto Body, on 2^nd Street Pike in Southampton, until his retirement in 1999.

John was a member and the former President of the Southampton Businessmen’s Association and gave his support to many local sporting events and charities. In his spare time John looked forward to his trips with his wife Carol in their Motor Coach, traveling throughout the United States and following the NASCAR circuit. At one time he even raced modified stock cars at the former Flemington Speedway. He also enjoyed boating.

John will be sadly missed for his friendship, friendly smile and infectious laugh.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kimberly A. Wolset, his son, Gary J. Sibel and his wife Megan, 2 sisters, Nancy Dougherty and Madelyn Burcaw. He is also survived by 3 dear grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Jonathan and Kelsey.

Ronald J. MacIntyre of Monticello, Maine, and formerly of Monticello, Prince Edward Island, Canada, passed away at St. Mary Medical Center, PA. on March 23, 2015. He was born on March, 11th, 1935, in Prince Edward Island, Canada and was 80 years of age.

He was the beloved husband of 30 years to Olga M. Saldãna MacIntyre.

He was a son of the late Angus Daniel MacIntyre, and Teresa (MacKinnon) MacIntyre, of Monticello/St. Peters Bay, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Ron spent much of his life in Canada before making his way to the United States where he owned and operated his own construction business. Along with his wife he enjoyed travelling extensively and together they spent a lot of time vacationing on Prince Edward Island and South Carolina. Ron was also an experienced violinist and most importantly, he treasured time with his family. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, Olga, Ron is survived by his step-daughter, Yvonne Keene, her husband, Michael, of Holland, and their adoring children Brendan & Shannon Keene: his brother, J.D. (Dolph) MacIntyre and family, Gooseriver, PEI, and his sisters, Florence Sawchuk and family, Peabody, Ma., Gladys Thompson and family, Peabody, Ma., and Marie MacIntyre and family, Gooseriver/St. Peters Bay and Montague, PEI. He also leaves to grieve, many adoring friends, nieces, nephews and cousins in the U.S., Maine, Western Canada and Prince Edward Island areas.

In addition to his, parents, He was preceded in death by his sisters Mary C., MacLeod and Teresa McInnis, and his brothers, Peter H. MacIntyre, and Robert A. MacIntyre

Janet F. Denofa of Bensalem, died peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2015, surrounded by her devoted and loving family at her residence. She was 73.

Born in Philadelphia Janet was a resident of Bensalem for the past 6 and half years having formerly lived in the far Northeast.

Janet was the beloved wife of Carmen A. Denofa, Jr. for the past 51 years and daughter of the late William and Jeanette Dagastino Pizzichil and sister of the late Daniel Pizzichil.

Janet was a graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls, class of 1960. Janet and her beloved husband and family were communicants of Our Lady of Calvary Parish for many years before moving into St. Charles Borromeo Parish 6 and half years ago.

She was a true homemaker; she was passionate about her family, for they came first and foremost. Janet looked forward to fussing over her grandchildren and great grandchildren as they truly brought a twinkle to her eyes.

She will be sadly missed by all those who had the chance to be her friend.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her 2 loving children; Michael Denofa and Michelle M. Tate and her husband Michael, She is also survived by 5 dear grandchildren; Michael, Jessica Janet, Carmen(Joey), Daniel and Vincent and 2 great grandchildren Dominic and Emma.

Henry C. Beal of Hatboro died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Luther Woods Rehabilitation Center in Horsham. He was 89.

Henry was the beloved husband of 63 years to Betty M. Kretmar Beal.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Henry and Margaret Jeffers Beal.

Henry was a long time resident of Feasterville before moving to Gloria Dei Farms in Hatboro. Prior to his retirement, he was a Systems Technician for Leeds and Northrup Corp. in North Wales, PA. Henry was a veteran of the US Army serving after World War II and was an active member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Feasterville. In his leisure, he enjoyed bowling and vacationing at Laurel Lake, NJ where he and Betty had met as children. He was a loyal Philadelphia Phillies fan and would attend his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Henry will be truly missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

In addition to his wife Betty, Henry is survived by his children, Richard Beal and his wife Joann Scurlock of Chicago and Wayne Beal and his wife Alison of Ivyland. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Brian and his wife Courtney, Kevin and Jasmine Moseley and Christopher.

Warren Francis Williams of Warrington, PA passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home. He was 93.

He was the beloved husband of Sarah Elizabeth Cope Williams for 68 years and is survived by her, their son Warren, his wife Joan and their children, Alicia and Jamie.

Born in 1921, he was the son of the late Glen H. and Anna F. Williams.

Warren was a school teacher in the Abington School District and retired in his mid 50’s. He then began to run his own business where he gave educational scientific tours to teachers, often affiliated with NASA and he saw several launches including Apollo 8 and Apollo 11.

Following his second retirement in the mid 1990’s he became involved in the Moland House in Hartsville, where he was a President of the Warwick Township Historical Society. He dedicated much of his time and energy to the restoration and preservation of the house, and was involved in significant fundraising campaigns as well as working closely with the architects who were restoring the house. He also wrote a children’s book, A Basket of Pears for General Washington, that described the activities at the house during the Revolution. Warren had a lifelong passion for antique automobiles, and his pride and joy was his 1941 Lincoln Continental, which he proudly referred to as his “41”.

Erin Melissa Christian of Newtown, PA died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at her residence. She was 24.

Born in Langhorne, she was the beloved daughter of Robert C. and Susan C. Willever Christian and maternal granddaughter of the late S. Paul and Rita L. DePuy Willever and paternal granddaughter of the late Joyce A. Minka Christian.

In addition to her beloved parents, she is also survived by her brother, Douglas R. Christian of Santa Monica, CA and her paternal grandfather, Charles C. Christian or Wilmington, NC, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Erin was a resident of Newtown for the past 5 years and formerly lived in New Hope. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ, Class of 2009 and received her bachelor degree in Political Science and Psychology from West Chester University, Class of 2013.

Erin was employed as an underwriter for Philadelphia Insurance Company for the past year. She was an avid athlete who enjoyed playing basketball and soccer. She liked working out at the gym, running and keeping in shape. She was also very artistic and talented and used her creativity to do for others. She blessed her family for 24 years with such care and compassion, she will be sadly missed as a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend to all those who knew her.

Catherine Gauker of Richboro and formerly of Philadelphia died peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 92.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Zeiner Gauker.

Catherine worked for many years at Sears, Roebuck and Company as an accountant. She enjoyed her work and traveling abroad with friends, but she cherished the moments she shared with her family. Catherine will be greatly missed and forever loved by everyone who has had the pleasure to know her.

Catherine is survived by her loving brother John S. Gauker and his wife Gertrude, her nieces Barbara A. Hipple and Mary C. Gauker, and her nephew John M. Gauker. She is also survived by 2 grand nieces and 2 grand nephews.
