Michael F. Boffa of Villas, NJ died peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at his son’s residence in Ivyland, PA. He was 74.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Francis and Catherine Butler Boffa and father of the late Michael J. Boffa.

Mr. Boffa was a resident of Villas, NJ for the past 21 years and formerly lived in Philadelphia for 53 years. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a Philadelphia Police office from 1964 to 1965 and then served as a firefighter with the Philadelphia Fire Department for 22 years until retiring in 1987. He was a member of IAFF Local 22, a member of the original building committee for the Philadelphia Fire Hall at 5^th & Callowhill Streets, and a former officer of the Retired Fire Fighters Association. In his leisure time, he was an avid reader who liked anything about history, enjoyed gardening, and “taking care of the ranch” which referred to his home. He will be sadly missed as a devoted father, grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his three children; Stephen C. Boffa and his wife, Veronica, of Ivyland, PA, Diana M. Boffa of Willow Grove, PA, and Carolyn Kline of Doylestown, PA. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Moore, of Philadelphia and his four loving grandchildren; Brianna, Julianna, Austin and Taryn.

His family will receive condolences on Thursday, September 10, 2015, from 10:30 AM until his Funeral Service 12:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954. Inurnment with military honors will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

Thomas J. Gordon, of Woodbourne, New York, died on Monday, August 31, 2015, at the Achieve Rehab and Nursing Center in Liberty, New York. He was 76.

Born and raised in the Olney neighborhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the third — and tallest — of four children of the late James and Francina McGee Gordon. He attended school in the Catholic parish of the Incarnation of Our Lord, graduated from Northeast Catholic High School and studied engineering at Villanova University before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He trained at Fort Dix in New Jersey and served in Wiesbaden, West Germany, from 1959 to 1961.

He moved to New York City and began to work in the theater, including some acting but finding his greatest success doing sound, lighting, carpentry and electrical work for theatrical productions. He constructed sets for television commercials and spent years setting up sound and staging for the ragtime piano player Max Morath during performances around the United States, as well as working for a dance company in its travels throughout the U.S. and Europe. His time in the entertainment industry left him with many stories to tell about performers he worked with, including Lily Tomlin and Arthur Godfrey.

Mr. Gordon later moved to a house surrounded by woods in New York state's Mid-Hudson Valley, where he installed the roof and porch and continued working as a handyman – his motto was “Get It Done.” But he kept in close touch with his family and enjoyed visiting his sisters Patricia and Francine in the Philadelphia area. His friendliness, cheerfulness and sense of humor always made him a welcome sight.

He is survived by his brother, James M. Gordon, and James' wife, Dianne, of Phoenix, Arizona; his two sisters, Francine “Franny” Gordon of Philadelphia and Patricia M. King of North Wales, Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19012.

William E. Cancel, Sr. of Keller, TX and formerly a long time resident of Feasterville died on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the North Texas VA Medical Center.  He was 66.

He was the loving and devoted husband of 48 years to Jeanne A. (Graham) Cancel.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Bill he was the son of the late Frank and Ida Mae (Pagan) Cancel.

He attended Bensalem High School and went on to serve proudly in the US Army during which time he served for two years in Vietnam.  He was a master automotive mechanic and Service Manager for Al's Auto in Trevose, PA for over 25 years before relocating to Texas in 2001.

An avid Harley Davidson rider and enthusiast, he also loved to golf, fish, hunt, go boating and do pretty much anything that was outdoors and he loved to share those activities with his son, Bill Jr. 

Bill will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and for his sense of humor and sarcastic wit which was always a sign of affection to those he loved.

Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He will be dearly missed.  

In addition to his wife, Bill Sr. is survived by his son Bill, Jr. and his wife, Valerie (Nieckoski), of Feasterville; his grandchildren, Tyler and Victoria Cancel; his brother Robert Walsh (the late Maria) and his sisters and their husbands, Barbara Carson (Robert) and Carole Chafin (Robert).

Teresa L. Snyder, died peacefully on August 29, 2015. She was 89.

Born 1926, three years before the Great Depression, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Stimmel) O’Connor. Teresa was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank V. Snyder in 2009, after 58 years of marriage.

Teresa was a proud graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School, Class of 1944. She was active in the alumnae and ran their class reunion for many years including her 70^th in 2014. Teresa was an ardent defender of the Life of the Unborn since 1970 and served on the board of the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition. Teresa and her husband Frank traveled extensively and enjoyed many good times with friends and family and had a lot of laughter in their lives. Teresa will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her Roman Catholic faith, and her devotion and faithfulness to her entire family.

Teresa and Frank felt blessed to be the parents of ten children. Family values were foremost to them, and their children continue with the Snyder family values as treasured gifts from their parents: Mary (Karl Knapp), Nancy (Andrew Stoehr), Debby (Fred Kull), Frank, Jane, Joan (Paul Morris), Patricia (Bill McCloskey), Joe (Theresa), Jim (Dawn) and Katy (Rob Yoos). Teresa was the cherished and loving Nana of twenty-five grandchildren, Tara Knapp and Laura Fox (Andrew), Joseph (Liz), Marian Daggett (Brett) and Elizabeth Stoehr, John , Kevin and Brian Kull, Frank “Quint” McDonnell (Allison), Ann Demaio (Joe) and Claire Sitarz, Megan Moyer (Brian), Bill (Kimberly), Kelly Brazil (Paul) & Sean McCloskey, Christopher, Bridget & Riley Snyder, Maureen, Matthew & Michael Snyder, Sarah, Carolyn, Brett & Maura Yoos. Great-Grandmother of Austin & Natalie Fox, Benedict, Matilda & Atticus Daggett, Delaney & Lily McDonnell, John & Molly Moyer and Jack Brazil.

Teresa is also survived by many nieces and nephews; her sister –in-law, Carmela Snyder, and brother-in-law, Lou Kuhn. She was preceded in death by her dear sister Marie and her brother Thomas.

Barbara J. Kunz Weber of Wycombe died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 29^th at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 80.

Barbara was the beloved wife of 59 years to Joseph H. Weber.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William D. and Helen Kielbasa Kunz.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother Barbara touched the lives of all she met with her beautiful smile and love of family. Her greatest pleasures were sharing time and traveling with her husband, raising four wonderful sons, and interacting with her grandchildren. You could always find Barbara playing with her grandchildren as youngsters and cheering for them at numerous sporting events. She loved being a part of their lives.

Barbara loved to crochet and work with her hands, but always for the pleasure of others. She often made blankets for the local hospital and gifts for her family and friends. She took pride in her home and always made it a warm and loving place for her family.

Barbara will be greatly missed by those of us left here on Earth. But our memories of this strong, beautiful, caring woman will forever be in our hearts.

In addition to her husband Joseph, Barbara is survived by her loving sons and their spouses; Joseph M. and Anne, Matthew R. and Lucia, James V. and Annie, and Christopher J. Weber and Cindy. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren Rebecca, Michael, Zachary, Emily, Timothy, Joseph, Angelo and her great granddaughter Adalind.

Gary Wayne Hughart of Langhorne died Friday, August 28, 2015.  He was 69.

Gary was the beloved husband of Marie F. Hughart.

Born in Rainelle, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Charles Wayne and Helen Judy Hughart.

Gary was a former resident of Whispering Pines, North Carolina and Yardley before recently moving to Langhorne. He was a commercial architect with Marriott, Ogden Foods Corp and Aramark. The following are some of the projects he worked on:

The Superdome, Pepsi Center - Denver, General Motors Stadium, Wrigley Field, Camden Yards, LA Convention Center, LA Staples Center, Citizens Bank Park and Cincinnati Bengals Stadium.

In addition to his wife Marie, Gary is survived by his children, Rick Hughart and his wife Betty Ann of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Travis Hughart of Clearwater, FL, Anthony DiMario and his wife Colleen of Morrisville, Rosario DiMario and his wife Betzaida of Sellersville and Carmela Anderson and her husband Rich of Richboro. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren.

Edith B. Noll of Dublin, PA died peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Brookdale of Dublin, Dublin, PA. She was 94.

She was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. Noll.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gustav C. and Wilhelmina M. Epplen Bauhof, mother of the late David J. Noll and Susan M. Noll, and sister of the late Marie Bauhof.

Mrs. Noll was a resident of Dublin for the past 2 years and formerly lived in Richboro for 54 years. She was employed as a secretary at Bucks County Community College for 8 years before retiring in 1983. In her leisure time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and singing. Being family oriented, she always enjoyed the special times spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her son, Peter G. Noll and his wife, Rebecca, of Dublin, PA, her daughter-in-law, Janet Noll of Chalfont and her brother, George C. Bauhof and his wife, Florence, of Warrington, PA. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren; Stephen Noll (Stephanie), Laura King (Andrew), Kristen Maginn (Kevin), Katie Murphy (Matthew), Robert Noll and her 3 great grandchildren; Sara and Sadie Noll, and Liam Maginn.

Clarice McMaster Solly of Ivyland, died peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Brookdale of Northampton. She was 91.

Born in Davisville, Clarice was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Morrell Solly and daughter of the late Harry and Amy Comly McMaster and sister of the late Josephine Fluck.

Clarice was known to family and friends as “Mickey”, she was a graduate of Southampton High School, class of 1942. “Mickey”, worked for many years for the Insurance Company of North America as a secretary and commuted to Philadelphia by train. Mickey had many secretarial jobs over the years including working for the Northampton Tax Office.

Family came first and foremost and for 20 years she helped manage and operate the Solly Brothers Farm Market in Ivyland with her husband and his 2 brothers and her 2 sisters in law. What Mickey loved most was being a “Grandmother” and help babysit her 8 dear grandchildren.

She was a former member of Davisville Baptist Church until 1950, when she became a member of the Addisville Reformed Church, where she taught Sunday school, cooked for the annual bazaar luncheon and was involved in the circle meetings. She was also a member of the Middletown Grange # 684.

Mickey, enjoyed reading, gardening and knitting and to this day loved her trips to Florida and Lancaster with her husband.

Mickey is survived by her devoted daughters and their spouses; Nancy and Frank O’Hara and Patricia and Richard Zimmer. She is also survived by her 8 dear grandchildren Shannon, Kristin, Michelle, Jeanette, Richard Jr., Ryan, Kurtis, and Kyle and her 9 great-grandchildren; Conor, Justin, Morgan, Delaney, Jackson, Abigail, Reese, Madeline and Juliet. Her Brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Joanne Solly and Barbara Solly, and many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn “Lynn” Baskin, of Chalfont, PA died on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at her home with her daughter by her side. She was 71.

She was the beloved wife of Terry E. Baskin who died in May of this year.

Born in Abington, PA she was the daughter of the late George and Rose Wiener Richardson and mother of the late Jeffrey Baskin

She earned a degree in Medical Technology at Franklin School of Science and Arts in Philadelphia. She worked as a medical receptionist at Chalfont Family Practice for over 30 years where she was very well liked by her coworkers and patients as well, and continued to maintain friendships with many of them after she retired. She enjoyed living an active healthy lifestyle.  She was an avid runner and had earned many running awards. She loved spending time at home with her husband and their many dogs that they adopted over the years.  She also loved gardening and swimming in their beautiful in ground pool. She also loved spending time with her two grandsons and helping to care for them when they were little.

Lynn is survived by her daughter and best friend Amy Gouge and her husband Trevor of Perkasie, and her brother C. David Richardson of Utica, NY.  She is also survived by her 2 dear grandsons; TJ and Kyle Gouge.

Lynn’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 1, from 10:00am until her Funeral Service 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901.  Her interment will be held for just the family in Beulah Cemetery, New Britain.

Helen H. Lasek of Newtown and formerly a long time resident of Hamilton Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday August 22, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 96.

She was the beloved wife of 38 years to the late Walter A. Lasek, Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Colonel.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Birisz Harhay.

Along with her husband, Helen owned and operated the Woodlawn Swim Club in Hamilton Township for almost 50 years, before relocating to Newtown to live with her daughter Ann. She was a dedicated member of the Newtown Senior Fellowship group and took pride in helping to provide her own hand-crocheted lap blankets to local seniors who were ill or shut-in.

More recently she had enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and the challenge of jig saw puzzles.

Of the utmost importance to Helen was time spent with her beloved family. She will be remembered and missed as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.

Helen is survived by her children, Louise Huttner and her husband, Bruce, of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Ann Cipriani and her husband, Pier, of Newtown, and Walter R. Lasek of Naples, FL. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Michael Cipriani (Kim), David Cipriani, Tricia Forsyth (Ernest), Walter Huttner (Jana), Janet Huttner, Walter Lasek, and Eric Lasek; and her five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Isabella and Ryan Cipriani and Andrew and Kaitlyn Forsyth.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings.
