Mary Rose DiPietro, daughter of the late Antonio and Domenica Cambria Furfari, of Philadelphia passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Friday, February 5, 2016. She was 95. 

Mary was a proud life long resident of Philadelphia where she was a faithful parishioner of Resurrection Parish.   Following the death of her parents at a young age, she worked tirelessly to help raise her siblings and worked on a South Jersey farm. She met Frank DiPietro, her future husband, at her family’s produce stand; they later married and raised a family of their own.  

She was talented in countless ways including being a gifted chef, tending an impeccable garden, and taking great pride in in her home and family.  She worked by her husband’s side at their meat market, Frankies Choice Meats, for many years in the heart of the Italian Market on 9^th Street. 

Later on in her life, Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, participating in many activities at the Pelbano Recreation Center in Philadelphia and splitting her time between the homes of her children.  Above all else, she will be remembered for her unwavering energy, zest for life, incredibly quick wit, and for her love and devotion for her family.  She will be dearly missed. 

Mary is survived by her children Eleanor DeFranceso and her husband, James, Louis DiPietro and his wife, Frances M. Reichert, and Anthony DiPietro (the late Patricia); her grandchildren, Helen, Maria, John, Donna, Danielle, Anthony, Maryanne, James Bonner, and Frankie; her great-grandchildren, Craig, Cole, Gianna, Annamaria, Christine, Ryan Jr., Tyler, Finn, and Hannah; and her sisters, Catherine DiPietro and Yolanda Dunner.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 and on Thursday at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM.  Her interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Richboro.

Harold J. Kepler, P.E. of Ann’s Choice in Warminster, Pennsylvania passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 4, 2016. He was 84 years old.

He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Marlyn (Ackerman) Kepler.

Harold was the Vice President of Pickering, Corts & Summerson Engineering firm in Newtown, PA for thirty-three years from 1964-1996.

A graduate from Drexel University’s School of Engineering in 1957, Harold was a highway and bridge engineer working on such projects as the initial construction of the Walt Whitman Bridge, I-95 and the Altoona Bypass. He served as secretary of the Board of Trustees of Newtown Presbyterian Church in Newtown, PA for twenty-three years. He was an avid world traveler, visiting over twenty-one destinations. Upon retirement, he enjoyed living in Sun City, South Carolina for ten years, then Green Valley, Arizona for ten years before moving back to Pennsylvania.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving daughter, Lynn Mitchell (Steven) of Arlington, VA and devoted son, Darryl Kepler (Marianne Richard) of Chalfont, PA; his grandchildren Colleen Fritschle (Kyle), DJ Kepler, Laurel Mitchell, and Matt Kepler; and his loyal dog, Dolly.

Services will be private.

Rose M. Starzyk Kenny of Richboro died Monday, February 1, 2016 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. She was 96.

Rose was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Joseph F. Kenny, Sr.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Fabian and Joanna Pastuczyk Starzyk.

Rose was a former resident of Nicetown section of Philadelphia before moving to Richboro in 1976. Many years ago, she had worked at St. Ladislaus Church and at Sears and Roebuck in Philadelphia. Rose enjoyed cooking for her family and was the perfect baby sitter for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be truly missed by her family and by all who came to know her.

Rose is survived by her children and their spouses, Joseph F. Jr. and Mary Jo Kenny of Richboro, Rose M. and James Slizewski of New Hope, Theresa and the late Michael Higgins of Philadelphia, John R. Kenny of Richboro, Annemarie and Curtis Kieser, Jr. of Richboro and Donald and the late Mary E. Crane of Egg Harbor City, NJ. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Laurentia C. Bakker Wendel of Bensalem peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA. She was 67. 

Laura was born in Etten de Leur, The Netherlands. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Huiberdina Bakker and the sister of the late Henry, Mike, and Frank Bakker. 

Laura will be greatly missed and will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Laura is survived by her daughters, Katrina Galie and her husband, Rick; her daughter Adele Hackney and her husband, Pete; her grandchildren, Auburn and Aralyn Hackney. She is also survived by her siblings: Oscar Bakker (Joan), Mae Mitchell, Alexandra Roy, Monique Nappi (Mike), and by her long time friend and companion Larry Feinberg and dog Yogi.

Paul C. Haupert, of Warminster, PA died on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Majestic Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was 80.

He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Nancy Stevens Haupert.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frederick and Blanche Eskuchen Haupert.

Paul grew up in Philadelphia and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, and received his Bachelors Degree from the College of New Jersey. Paul retired 23 years ago from Verizon Communications where he spent over 34 years as a Buyer. Paul was active in the Lions Club and Little League sports as a Coach for many years in the Newtown and Northampton League. He was very out going and looked forward to playing golf with his buddies. He will be sadly missed by all those who came to know and love him.

In addition to his loving wife, Paul is survived by his sons Thomas P. Haupert and Kathryn Bruton of Glenside and David P. Haupert and Nicole Mahle-Haupert of Holland. He is also survived by his 4 dear grandchildren; Abby, Connor, Sydney and Aubrey and his brother Richard Haupert.

Paul’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. until his Memorial Service 1:00 pm at Chapel at Ann's Choice, 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974. Beverly B. Lee of Washington Crossing, PA died on Friday, January 29, 2016, surrounded by her family at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. She was 74.

She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Lee Jr. for 54 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ida Packett Bucher.

Mrs. Lee was a resident of Washington Crossing, PA for the past 43 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, gardening, taking trips to Cape May, NJ and relaxing on the beach. Family came first and foremost to Beverly. She cherished the special times spent with her children and grandchildren. Being a grandmother was a very special part of her life. She will be sadly missed as a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Robert B. Lee and his wife, Lisa, of Furlong, PA and Dawn M. Lee of Yardley, PA. She is also survived by her sister, Diana Forrest and her husband, Richard, of Land Harbor, NC and her three loving grandchildren, Amber Lee, Robert Lee and Kirsten Mervine.

Doris Florence Brugger of Sunrise of Lower Makefield and formerly a long time resident of Holland passed away on Wednesday January 28, 2016. She was 96.

She was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late Robert Edwin Brugger.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Barbara Crouthamel (Jeffrey Sands) of Doylestown and Jeanne McCullough (Joseph) of Medford, NJ. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Stroik (Edward); her grandchildren, Ryan Crouthamel (Dawn), L. Robert Crouthamel (Tammy), Kenley Crouthamel (Jennifer Holden), Jill Homan (Gregg), and Lindsey Enwright (Michael); six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.

Maxine Baram, 78, of Levittown, PA entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 28, 2016.

Maxine was a devoted wife to her husband, Bernard for 32 years before his sudden death in 1995. Maxine and Bernie met in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, were married in 1963 and moved to Levittown, PA, where they created a wonderful life together based on mutual respect, honesty and profound love.  Maxine was a doting mother to her two daughters, their spouses and five cherished grandchildren.

Maxine’s biggest source of pride and joy was her family. Her happiest moments were experienced during the treasured time she spent with her daughters, her grandchildren, and her beloved pet poodles. She also looked forward to visiting with her siblings in the South each summer. Maxine had wide-ranging taste in music, she loved to dance, shop with “her girls” and had a great sense of personal style.

Maxine was happily employed at Law School Admission Council, Inc., for 28 years, where she held the position as Manager, Document Processing.  She was hardworking, committed to her job and had an innate ability to recognize potential in others and motivate them to achieve their best. She developed many meaningful friendships at her workplace over the years.

Born in Harlan, Kentucky, Maxine was the daughter of the late George W. Smith and Theo Hensley Smith, sister of the late George W. Smith Jr. and Lloyd B. Smith, and aunt of the late Cherie Hall Judd and Jason Smith.

She is survived by her two daughters, Andrea B. Bagnell and her husband, Thomas, of Narberth, PA, Jennifer B. McIlhinney and her husband, Charles, of Doylestown, PA, and her loving grandchildren, Benny, Tommy and Amelia Bagnell, Tripp and Gabby McIlhinney.  She is also survived by her four sisters, Geraldine Wade (Houston), Sylvia Hurier (Chris), Priscilla Hall (Tommy), Shirley Davis (Darrell), her three brothers, Rodney Smith (Nora), William Smith (Trudy), and James Smith (Gail) and her sister-in-law, Tommie Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Daniel I. O’Rourke of Penns Park, PA passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at his residence.  He was 56.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late William E. and Marian A. Irwin O’Rourke and father of the late Daniel I. O’Rourke, Jr.

Daniel O’Rourke was a resident of Penns Park for 25 years. He was employed with PennDOT as a member of the bridge crew for 12 years.  In his leisure time he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved cars.  Family came first and foremost in his life.  He always enjoyed the special times spent with his children and grandchildren.  He will be sadly missed as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He is survived by his daughter, Renee M. Katits and her husband, Jeffrey C, of Southampton, PA, his girlfriend, Regina Schultz, his brother, William E. O’Rourke and his wife, Marjorie, of Norristown, PA and his two sisters, Patricia Wheeler and her husband, David, of Collegeville, PA and Tara Lee of New York.  He is also survived by his two loving grandchildren, Ava D. and Caiden O. Katits.

Brett Marriott of Holland passed away with his loving family by his side on January 26, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 44.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the beloved son of Brett and Nancy Marriott of Richboro.

Brett graduated from Archbishop Wood High School and worked as a manager for Commercial Energy Management Associates where he specialized in servicing commercial accounts.

Brett loved music of all kinds and was proud to be what most would consider one of U2’s biggest fans. He was an avid concert and movie goer and was also a devoted Philadelphia sports fan, most especially of the Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies. He loved Notre Dame football, and followed the professional careers of the Fighting Irish players.

Above all else, Brett’s love and devotion to his family is what will be remembered most. He was adored by his eight nieces and nephews, always willing to lend a hand to spend time with or look after them. He will be dearly missed by countless relatives and friends. He would never turn down a request for help from any of his family or friends. Brett genuinely cared about helping those he loved.

In addition to his parents, Brett is survived by his siblings, Brian Marriott and his wife, Katie, Christopher Marriott and his wife, Kelly, Amy Estroff and her husband, Andy, and Anne Mannherz and her husband, Craig. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews, Madeline, Matthew, Tyler, Jack, Sean, Colin, Dean, and Avery; and his Godparents, Donna Little and Bob Marriott.

The Marriott family will receive condolences on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until his Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1070 Holland Road, Holland. Interment will be private.
