Dear Muriel,
How blessed you were to have had Charlie's love for so long.
I never tired of chatting with him while he sat in the car waiting for you while you were fellowshipping with the ladies at church. He pretended to be annoyed that you were keeping him from important matters, but I could see how wholly devoted to you he was.
I pray that the warmth of his love and the memories of your many years together will sustain you in the coming days and weeks.
Charlie is home with our Savior. He is at peace.
With much love,
April

Uncle Charles was a special influence in my life. Always seemingly gruff but a pushover for us girls. I remember picking sour cherries from his tree, crab apple wine, swimming, holiday picnics and card games, slicing the big wheel of cheddar at the church bazaar, his love of camping, and his love of back rubs. He was always interested in what we were doing and loved to share his love of woodworking and his collections. The world was a better place for his having been in it. He will be deeply missed.

Muriel & Family, you have our deepest sympathy, he was a great guy and an inspiration to all. We are so sorry we are away and will miss the services. Charlie was one of the Church men who befriended me when we first started to attend Addisville, and one of the reasons we decided on Addisville.

Mr. Briggs, who I use to call "Dad" was like another father to me. I loved seeing him when we were starting the building on Bristol Road. God bless his family.
